Although I have not seen the video, Im inclined to agree with Richard except, with a crossbow you still have to get the animal to come in fairly close. Using a rifle is like shooting fish in a barrel around an african watering hole. Just my thoughts.

i usually hunt from a 15 foot ladder stand, but i do know one guy that has never been off the ground more than 8 feet and he has killed plenty of deer
