Hey nice one, another example of a whitetails will to live, tougher than nails. It would have been interesting to see what his rack would have looked like. If the injury occured before he grew his rack this year it probly would have been deformed or non typical. I once arrowed a buck that had a norm...

Best of luck Mike
Hats off to you, I know how tuff it is passing up nice bucks waiting on Mr. Big, but there is no better feeling in the world as a bowhunter than putting your tag on the buck you have been hunting all season for. Stick with it, it can and does happen.

Trail Camera Question

I have recently tried a couple different Digital trail cam's, one Moultry and a Bushnel. The moultry took 1 6volt battery and it would only last about 1 full day before the battery died. I tried a couple different top name brand batteries and it made no diff. So I took the camera back to the store t...

Well we went over 1 near by bedding area and feeder trail's too and from, and feel pretty confident we covered it well and came up with nothing. Though discouraged we are not giving up as there are 2 other bedding area's to check out, now we just need more time to check them. Funny how work seems to...

Thanx for the good advice fellas we are gunna walk the bush tomorrow so hopefully it will turn up something. He did have pretty good size holes on his head and lots of grey through his face, neck and patches on his body. I would say he was a pretty mature deer but I am no expert. His back teeth seem...

Thanx guys, this guy was only the 2nd buck I have taken in the last 3 years that I was actually hunting for. I got my first trail camera 3 years ago (stealth cam 35mm.) and since then I target certain deer and try to take them and it has paid off 2 times now. Not to sound like an add but I can't str...

I would like to take a sec to clear up my last comment on this post, I wasn't taking a jab at anyone in particular just me being me making a joke of the situation. I completely understand that what was said was meant well and no offence was taken and my intent was not to offend but mearly entertain....

Bucks are drop'n 'em

Well last night I recieved a call from my brother inlaw, he made a shot at a deer. I imediately dropped everything to assist him. When I arrived at his hunting area he and his buddy had already taken up the trail. They found the deer within 75 yards of where he was hit. He thought he got himself a n...

I do not like mechanicals and stay clear of them, this is due to my own personal experiance. I nearly lost a deer when I took a quartering away shot. I was using a spitfire 3blade, thinking I made a great shot I waited aprox. 30 min. before folowing up. I had decent blood for the first 60 yrds or so...
