I recently harvested a buck on the 29th and it was a perfect shot and the rage put it down in 35 yards. Two days before I was tempted to shoot a spike after only seeing doe's. I checked the rage and the blades were slowly moving out of the o-ring. as I remember they were supposed to click into place...

I think if you are new to hunting/bow hunting you should buy a rangefinder to get familiar with the different ranges. This will help you see how much the arrow drops at different yardages. If you are planning on buying the mount that allows you to attach a rangefinder to the scope of the crossbow, m...

I have tried them in the field and seem to be pretty good. my friends have rangefinders and we compared a bushnell sport 450 and a nikon model, plus this burton and they all ranged the same ranges.

I thought about getting one, it would be useful for the range finder plus I would try and put a video camera on top to try and capture the action. I have a Groundpounder mount so I think that I will have to remove the quiver in order to use it.

This happened to me one day, check to make sure your scope ring mounts are tight against the base. just hand tight should do just fine.

Question about range finders

I plan on buying one for christmas. Is it really worth the extra $180 to get the trajectory compensator? do you find that while your in a treestand and will not be shooting past 40 yards that there is a significant difference?

For me it depends on the angle of the deer. If the deer is within 14 yards of my stand, I stand up so the limbs don't hit my leg. Beyond that I will try to stand slowly and get a shot off. It depends on how long your Axle to axle length is, the shorter it is, the closer you can shoot the deer sittin...

Question about bolts

If I were to switch from carbon shafts to 2213's/2216's or 2219's, would the only change be elevation or would there be spine issues as well?

I think that the grim reaper broadheads are okay, I shot a raccoon with one and it went 2 yards max. The broadhead fully expanded upon exit, i can't say how it would work on larger game such as deer but I know they are a pset killer.

Rage 3 blade

Well, I let my buddy borrow my crossbow weekend while I went moose hunting. I lent him some feild points and one broadhead. I said you only get one shot. I went over to his place on tue and he had a nice 11 point hanging up with a baseball size hole right through him. I said "Did you use your 3...

If you shot it with a rage and put it in the boiler room, you shouldn't have any problem finding it. I can only imagine the sleepless night your going to have. Good luck and keep us posted.
