Re: Built some new bolts today.
nice job what kind of shafts are those how did you get the nock and insert out steam? I used a vise, a field point, and a small torch :) I hadn't tried the method, but, I was told to put a piece of metal(maybe a drill bit, something that fits) in the open end. Then sling it toward the nock end. Kin...

Re: shooting from a tree stand
The biggest thing with in excal is knowing how far the limb will "open up" when you shoot. If your to close to a limb, the limb of the bow will hit the tree, and your shot will be off. At 20 yards from 16 feet you will have nothing to worry about.

Built some new bolts today.
I replaced the front inserts with brass, and the rears with Lumi nocks. Then I put my new bitzenburger to the test. I'm very please with it :D http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii188/leimeister_25/fletchingpics703.jpg http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii188/leimeister_25/fletchingpics704.jpg http:...

Re: Recurves
 Yer head be up in those clouds. Depends on how much poundage you wish to pull, the longer yer Bow length the easier it pulls on higher poundage & it allows better draw length. I liked 58/62" recurves. You ought to start with 62" & see maybe even 64" would be nice Thanks...

Go to tradgang.com and ask that question lots of good guys there too. Freadbear you got any good pics of those bucks from the north yet ? Most the deer I've been seeing are small and no mass. No bucks over 130 yet. Aight thanks for the website! As far as the big boys... I seen a few tonight :D

Re: Recurves
Are you talking about a stick bow ? If so about an inch shorter draw than a compound if you have one. I am 5'9" & i was comfortable with 54 lb Damon Hi-Speed 60". More poundage the longer the length needs to be as not to stack on you. My draw usually was around 27/28" depending o...

Recurves
How do I figure out what recurve is right for me. Do you use a draw length formula, along with the inch of the bow?
