Re: what should i do

I have a bunch of ladder stands. There is not a one of them I could not climb up or descend from even if I only had one leg. Just saying.

Re: Stirrup slipped of foot while cocking my Excalibur

Cocking the bow is one thing, just don't ever forget to remove the bolt if decocking with the rope cocker. That practice can result in a really interesting situation even if the broadheaded bolt doesn't go through your foot.

Re: Movement in upper receiver/latch

Scope moves up and down? Scope mounting rail screws would be my first check for this condition as those 4 little allen head screws are notorious for coming loose if not locktighted. Bolt retainer is connected so when you slip a bolt in place it pushes it up. Did it to me the other year and I noticed...

Re: PA Guys: Some Info

Page 24 of the General Hunting Regulations section of the Hunting Digest covers this under tagging big game. If you have a smart phone get the PGC's new app. Go Hunt Pa Tool Kit. It is a pretty nice app and gives you all sorts of info and hunting related stuff useful in the field as well as at home.

Re: Stupid weak targets!

First off are you looking for a field point target or one for your broadheads. If so what broadheads? I am using Rage mechanicals and they come with a weight matching practice head that matches the actual functional broadhead but doesn't open and isn't sharpened anywhere. I generally practice for hu...

Re: My turn to scream!!!

I was recently told the following in a reply to a facebook post by Excal that I saw with a pic of a micro with the dead zone on it that I questioned. The initial run of 1000 micros came with the vari zone and after that the dead zone replaced the vari zone. I asked if the dead zone was illuminated a...

Re: Cracked limb

Shot a big doe Monday last with my 405. Tuesday notices one of those inside edge splinters on one limb about two inches long, just missing running it right into my hand. Removed it and smoothed rough area a bit. Wednesday I am sitting in the blind and decide to slowly feel the limbs and damned if I ...

Re: Crossbow targets

Morrell yellow jacket crossbow bag target. Works excellently with both my field points and rage practice heads and especially with regards to the 405.

Re: Tip Tamers

The real answer is that they look pretty cool and everyone knows that the cooler something looks the faster it must be. I hear the black ones are the slowest followed by the red ones with the orange ones increasing fps beyond your wildest dreams.

Re: Rangefinder

I got one right after they came out and put it on my equinox with some significant custom mounting efforts using the xcal rangefinder mount adapted to hold the vendetta base and then vendetta attached. I got a 380 last summer and the scope was too small to use it with the set up I had made and I sor...

Re: matrix 405 trigger problem

I tried to get my 405 to misbehave just to see if it would this morning. I pulled the trigger as hard as I could and then flipped up the safety lever as abruptly and firmly as I could while holding on target. No premature fires occurred. I am still going to have the trigger replaced at one of the US...
