Re: Hunting Contests

most contests and shows are after the fact... people bring their deer to be scored and placed in a contest to see which one has bragging rights. All are trophys non the less. as for local big buck contests... again thats for fun and mainly luck on anyones behalf if they win. Hunting is 90% luck anyw...

Re: Rage broadheads

its tons of factors that effect pass through shots. I have my ml'er not get pass throughs at 7 yards LOL.

I dont think its the bhead but if you are concerned go back to the fixed heads. All hits I have seen on the rage heads have been massive though 8)

The treewalker seems like a winner. :) i dont think anyone deals them but treewalker... ive only seen them...

Re: those with summit climbers

Rich, have you heard of the treewalker stands? They are atthe hunting show everyyear and a friend has one and loves it. Its light also. Only downside is that its a little long. I just cant stand the summit open shot. No room to move in when seated and I dont like using my arms anymore to climb. I ma...

those with summit climbers

Im not a big fan of the ones where I have to use my shoulders and arms to basically lift the bottom part. Are any of their models the type you sit and then raise the lower part while c...

Re: H and R ultra slug hunter

20g with the bull barrel here also. I shoot the partition golds also and love it. At 50-75 yards it drives tacs. At 100 yards I have 2-3inch groups on average. I wouldnt get a 12g though. To much kick and way to heavy of a slug. The 20g is like shooting a ML'er with 150 grains of powder and a 260gra...

Re: What is a good Cam to buy?

trophy cam is a good all year camera..

cuddeback capture is a good camera. I like it better in the cooler air. The bushnell works great in the summer heat. Both are good in the 159-199 range

heavy rain = no:)

light rain off and on can get big deer up moving... light drizzle is the best time to hunt a field
