Farmer

I too know what it is like to lose a tree stand. So to solve the problem I started to build my own from 3/4 inch thin wall tube with expanded metal floor. I even weld my Name in the bottom crossmember. They cost me about 15 bucks to make and an hours time to build. A few friends of mine liked them ...

Dead stop target

I use the deadstop target with great results. 2 fingers to pull and arrow. I have also made a frame to hold it an tranport it back to the shed. I will try to take a picture and post it here. Have also seen people make King sized bag target using bulk seed bags. They hold about 35 bushels of grain. ...

Air Brush/ Cresting

The air bush is a no name elcheapo affair ( as I tell my friends I'm not cheap just thrifty), it does a good job for what I want. I will dip the shafts in the Bohning white(I thin it more than they recommend and dip let dry and redip). Let them sit for a day, then I get out the motorized jig, brushe...

Cresting

I have used the products from Bohning (Sp.??) to crest arrows for both my verticle bow ( aluminum and carbon ) and my exocet. The paint has held up extremely well. I usally use several colors to customize the shafts, they look great. Have also been trying a bit of cresting with the air brush, fading...

Gun Laws and MP's

I just signed the on line Petition to repel c 68. I think we should all go one step farther. I just sent my MP Jerry Pickard a little note about the governments waste of money. If everyone would send there MP an email and ask for their reply we may get a little farther than with just the petiton. I ...

Useless Legislation

I have signed and hope that it will do some good. King Jean and the Rock will probably say never by their Royal Decree.

Now that the public has seen how much money has been wasted on the registry masybe more people will pressure the government / their MP, to get rid of it!!

I have taken a couple while deer hunting from a ground blind. I think it was the fawn bleat I was using that brougth it in. A squealing rabbit call has worked to bring them in as well, foxes have also came to that one.

Foxfire II

Mike, I started out with the aluminum framed, bull pup stlyed, trackless foxfire II. I changed over to the Exocet for all the reasons stated above. My only regret being I did not buy the Exocet in the 1st place.

As the old TV commercial used to state, " try it, you'll like it"".

The young man did a great job. :D sunk the arrow right in the 10 ring. :D :D I am not sure who was more excit...

I am 43 and have hunted for as long as I can remember. I have always had a fascination of firearms and hunting from the time I could walk. At 9 years of age I took my 1st duck using a pellet gun,and have hunted small game and large since. As my handle implies I am a farmer but also work of farm.( ha...
