big dog No disrespect intended, but, if a detailed explanation from a scientist who works in the carbon filtration field (and isn't trying to sell you something!!) isn't enough to convince you that carbon suits are a waste of money.......then I guess you are the perfect customer for this type of pro...

I wear a belt but not a harness.......I have 3 harnesses that came with ladder stands and they are so stiff and a royal pain to put on. I would also think that a harness that is tight enough to keep from jerking me in two if I fell would freeze me to death! I still occasionally hunt from hang on sta...

Crossbow for Manitoba spring bear hunting???
Got a call this evening from a good friend, a mutual acquaintance is putting together a black bear hunt in Manitoba next spring and they have one more opening. Since I have always wanted to take a bear, I'm inclined to go, but I have questions. Most of the group going on the trip will be bow hunting...

Only potential problem I see is additional roads make access easier and that can lead to over harvest.........as far as the rigs go......I doubt it will change a single thing......I live and hunt in Oklahoma and you can hardly throw a rock without hitting an oil well.......still plenty of deer here ...

Digger I understand your concern.......I'm not worried about the warranty implications because, if I did it, I wouldn't expect Excalibur to warranty something that was damaged though the use of an expermental part. I'm funny that way......I believe in personal responsibility..... That being said.......

Digger What is the difference between angling the limbs forward with wedges or with machining of the riser......the result is the same.....I asked about buying the new riser and was quoted $125 for just the machined part.....a set of wedges that angle the limbs forward the same amount as the new ris...

Mine came with the same brass insert, but the aluminum inserts for the rear were longer than yours.......they are drilled and threaded with the same thread as a front insert but they aren't opened enough for a point to screw in flush......in other words, the insert will allow the point to screw in t...
