Labor of Love for Deer Hunting.

Two years ago, I got my first chance to hunt during the archery season in Massachusetts, for the first time since December of 1982. I saw two spikes and got a shot a one. Yes, I missed, because I didn't pay attention to where the limbs on my crossbow were, but I got a shot and learned a lesson in us...

Just a comment!

This really is a very good forum. Most here shoot Excaliber crossbows. Yet, no one here puts down those of us who shoot other crossbows, such as the compounds. Everyone's interest is on how to improve the sport and get the most out of it. It's a very good feeling when I log in, read, and particiipat...

I was a traditionalist until I shattered my left elbow and archery as I knew it came to an end. I didn't believe the compound bow belonged in the archery season because of the advantages it gave the shooter. I don't want to go back to that very narrow minded way of thinking, but I could!

Peter, compared to last year, there are but one family in the swamp this year. Last year, I had Mallards, Canvasbacks, wood ducks, and Canada's, with youngsters. The beaver which made his house in the swamp last spring, and tried to dam up the outflows has had a negative impact on the swamp this yea...

I've only gotten a few pictures of a buck and have already posted them. I usually don't start getting buck pictures in this area until this month for some reason. Nevertheless, every roll of film is a surprise just waiting to be enjoyed.

I have two Camptrakkers and three Deer-Cam's. I have one Wildview digital and I would not buy a second one. One of my Deer-Cam's a model 100, has just had it's first problem in three years, with an xpander I added onto it and will be headed back to the factory for repair work.

The camera is a Non-Typical "Deer-Cam". I have three of them and as a film camera, like them very much. They are available from Cabela's at $99.00 each now.

GreyWolf Maybe we can. That's private property I'm on and have permission to hunt. Not sure about other guest at this time.

nybow,,,,, A question. If you in the near future had a physical injury from which, drawing a vertical bow would not longer be possible, would you give up hunting or pick up the horizontal bow, the crossbow? If yes, why?

I know two fellows who use English long bows who would take on a compound bow user without batting an eye. The accurcay I've seen by either of them is mind blowing.
