Re: Bolt cutters
I am using an Exomax with boltcutters and I took a small buck at 82 yards...yes 82 yards. The bolt went through the shoulder bone, both lungs and out the other side into the ground and I couldnt recover the arrow. It has plenty of power to slice through any part of a deer without deflection. If I ha...

Re: O/T Look Out Squirrels!!
Thanks! I have never hunted them as I always have thought of them as tree rats. That said, I am willing to give it a try. Extends my hunting season :-) What does a fella do with a squirrel once shot? Any good to eat? Prime table fare. Even more when one tires of venison too many meals in a row. The ...

Re: WMU 82a Specific hunters - Feed back
Thanks to all for the input!! Here I just thought it was me. And to the fellow who dropped the coyotes..... THANK YOU. I pulled my camera cards on Sunday and I have pics of very healthy coyotes that's showed up almost everyday last week. Weird thing is I never seen one yote on any camera until now,...

Re: WMU 82a Specific hunters - Feed back
Terrible hunting in 82a for controlled hunt . 6 people in our group and 3 full days hunting. All we saw was 1 fawn between all of us. 4 coyotes down. Good on the coyote. 82a does not have a controlled hunt; is that a typo? or where you hunting another unit (80 maybe)? Sorry we do the rifle hunt nor...

Terrible hunting in 82a for controlled hunt. 6 people in our group and 3 full days hunting. All we saw was 1 fawn between all of us. 4 coyotes down. I will spend some archery time now until December but not very optimistic to be honest. The properties I hunt in 82a and 92b seem to have been impacted...

Re: not seeing any deer 1hour north of toronto
Same thing all over S. Ontario from what I am hearing. Between increasing coyote populations and the bad winter its my belief that populations have been significantly impacted. I don't have any empirical evidence, but I haven't seen anything archery or rifle hunting this year. Not to mention that th...

Re: 2015 Excalibur 24" wide Xbows
Saw a micro down at the Bow Shop in Wloo today. Size is nice but I'm not thrilled with the 16" bolts. Less weight = less kinetic energy at impact. I will stay with full size xbows.

Re: Not life time warranty *** pics added**
My Exomax has eaten a cocking aid...and yes I always uncock as opposed to firing a hunting arrow with a broadhead into a tree.
Not as much wear as I see in the pictures, but there is a fair bit.

Re: Increased range with 405?
Its an interesting debate... I've taken two deer past 50 yards with my Exomax and I have never wounded and not recovered a deer with a bow or crossbow. I can respect the fact some people don't shoot past 30, but if I get a 405 I will not be concerned with a longer shot under the right conditions. I ...

Re: who's ordering a new xbow?
Really??? Kodabow? What track record do these guys have? To each their own but not interested in yet another group thinking they can make a crossbow better than Excal. I was planning on buying the Matrix 355. I even bought custom strings and baby bumpers for it. Well...............I discovered KODAB...
