Re: arrow question

Most guys use the ones they think are really cool. Some use the expensive ones. I personally like the cheapest ones. All the carbon arrows do a very good job. I personally use the Thunderbolts/Powerbolts. I've tried a few others, but, none have been as strong as the Powerbolts. The Firebolts a...

Re: Custom Wood Stocks?

I'd get Agingcrossbower, aka Mike, to make one in a Walnut or Maple. He does an incredible job . . .he made mine and I love it.

When I try that, the auto pilot kicks in and they end up a reality kill.

Good luck out there. :)

Re: Broadheads

I did not hear or perceive any noise when shooting this broadheads, I suspect if there is any noise from the air passing through the head it would be so low pitched that it would make no difference to an animal Can't be any more noise than my crossbow makes. I checked the regulations in the states ...

Re: Rocket/Trophy Ridge BH's made in China!

I have had great success with the Rockets, but they fall under what I would consider a "disposable" broadhead. They did their job on entry and exit, but exploded on impact with the ground thereafter. David . . .I had about the same experience with the Rockets, but, after Trophy Ridge boug...

Re: Broadheads

Cool looking broadhead, I hadn't seen that one. Did you check the hunting regulations? Some states call for a straight edge of a certain length.

Re: I need broadhead input.....

Any of those choices should work . . .depends on the size animal you are hunting, but, either of those would work.

Re: Rocket/Trophy Ridge BH's made in China!

This thread is getting scary.

We may have to give up hunting.

I have enough Stricknines to last several years, unless I get careless. But, I'll take a good look at that before I buy another broadhead.

Re: Different serving material .

Even if it doesn't last as long . . .it's cheaper and easier to work with . . .two big pluses!

Separation would be the concern with a slick material. Good luck and I hope it works.

Re: Scorpion Venom Rail Lube vs Excalibur Serving wax?

I use a premium car wax on the rail a couple of times a year . . .use the one you like the best, there are several. I use "Finish Line DRY Lube made with Teflon® fluoropolymer" on the rail before I start my practice shooting . . .I use it on the arrows too. I wax the serving about every 25...

I just lean accross my Weber Gas Grill . . .gets a bit warm when I'm cooking ribs.

Sitting would be better for stability, but, I don't have to get up and down so much.
