Redheart looks the best but ebony is much denser and could likely improve the call characteristics. I choose ebony.

I wouldn't take the shot either. I've found that patience usually pays off and quite often that Buck will stop and turn a bit or even turn completely around a come right back by you if you wait. If you have a particular spot in mind that you're hunting, and are in a place where that is the only shot...

Good to know!!! Even before my crossbow is ordered I ordered the S5 suppression system, 150 gr Boltcutter broadheads, and a stringing aid. Would've already ordered the crossbow but my wife wants to do it for my birthday so i don't know if it's ordered yet or not but I'll be ready!!!

Thanks for the tips and the entertainment.. Had to stop and grab a bag of popcorn when it got exciting. Seriously, thank you for the tips. Real life experiences are far more valuable than any book, manual, or dvd. Your suggestions are very much appreciated. The jabs are very entertaining...
