I'm afraid to shot at the same spot at 30 yards. As far as 50 yards goes when I have someone out who is new to shooting crossbows I like to have them shoot at clay pigeons. I just put the pigeon on the back stop and let them fire away. When they hit the pigeon you see the smiles come out. I have to ...

I can't remember who posted this but I will be giving it a try this season. Take the felt pads you buy to put on the bottom of your furniture and put scent on them and stick them to the bottom of your boot. Apparently this works and it won't get caught on trees and things.

The .45-70 is not the way I would go but to each his own. The one thing I will say is until you have seen what the larger calibur bullets can do on live game you can't judge. This comment is not directed at anyone. I'm just saying that ballistic charts are ok but they don't tell the entire story. As...

I agree you need something that will shoot flatter. If I'm not mistaken the rifle your planning on using is a lever action. If your a big fan of lever actions you may want to take a look at a Savage 99 in .308win. or drop more cash and go with a Browning BLR. I hope you post some pictures of your tr...

This site has been posted by other members most recently Woody Williams. http://jesseshunting.com/site/homebrew-cam.html I went with the regency motion detector. You can get one at any Walmart. The only thing I would stress that is not on the web-site is spend the money on the Owl PF and go with a 1...

I have two trail camera's out now one is a home brew one store bought. I have considered going digital myself but I'm afraid they won't work in the extreme cold. I'm not sure how long your season is but mine will run until Dec. 31. I would check to see what temperature they will work till before I b...

The problem with trophy hunting is the non-hunting public don't realize that the animal is eaten. They think the animal was killed "just for it's antlers". I'm very careful with who I tell I'm a hunter. For people I do tell the first question they ask me is "do you eat the meat?"...
