Dry Fire

Opps! I finally did what all newbies will likely do. I shot thinking a bolt was in the equinox. Guess what, it wasn't. My first (hopefully last) dry fire. I checked for limb damage but couldn't see any. Anything else I should check for before I cock it again?? :o

what kind of cuddy are you using farmer?? I've been wanting to get into trail cams but there are soooo many out there. Are you happy with the one you use? It sure takes nice pics. I wonder about flash vs. infrared also. :?:

string twisting

I just put a new string on the equinox. It's the standard string for the bow, not the flemish string. Is it supposed to be twisted? I've read some of the chatter on this and I put mine on without any twists. It seems to shoot fine.

I just got my lumizone and am anxious to put it on the equinox. At my age I want every advantage I can take. I won't be getting as many chances as you young pups. I'm shooting a red dot now and drilling quarters at 30 yds. If the Lumi weighs 19 oz. what does the varizone weigh?

Bolt Questions

It seems the forum guys recommend Gold Tip Laser II's with a 110 g brass insert in front, 2" blazers with a 4 degree offset and a 100 g head for my new Equinox. OK...Lots of questions. What is the source for all of these components??? I assume a 2" blazer is 2" fletching??? Do you hav...

Arrows for equinox

Wow. I'm impressed with all the good tips and sources for bolts. (sorry, not "arrows"). A great forum. I will probably be asking more dumb questions as I get the equinox tuned up for the hunting season.

Arrows for equinox

I just bought a equinox and got 4 firebolt carbon arrows with the package. I've already gone thru 3 of them. i.e. fletching, pull out of insert. What is a good replacement for target shooting that I can pick up in most sporting good stores? I'd like to stick with carbons but don't know which to buy....
