Re: Snow

We have about an inch or so left of a 5" snow fall before New Years. Our weather has been real mild here too in Southern Ontario. The only thing we've seen, is a lot of wild turkeys, where I am. I have been out in the fields to deer watch yet, it's too muddy, with the warm weather.

Re: Broadhead vs Target Points

What is the best way to choose a broadhead, is it just a preference thing? I'm sure, as all products, some are better than others. I was thinking of trying Excalibur's X-Act mechanical broadheads, all the reviews I've read, state owners/hunters are very happy with them, they do suggest to clean them...

Re: Bugs Build along

Wow, that's nasty!! Being around cars all the time, I know all to well what grinders can do :( . Keep it clean and dry, and sliding the stitches as mentioned is also a great idea.

It's cool watching this stock come to life, take care, so we can see it to the end!

Broadhead vs Target Points

I'm pretty green when it comes to crossbows, so I'll be asking some nubie questions for the more seasoned folks, lol. My first one is, how much difference in accuracy can be expected from using a target point to a broadhead? I've been dialing my Phoenix in with a Vari-Zone scope, at 35 yards, I can ...

Re: Not this year!

Have fun. Was deer hunting and came home with 2 rabbits. Shot off four Rage 2 broadheads and broke 2 Big John arrows on trees. I figure I junked 4 arrows and my 2 rabbits cost me $75. Cheaper to use my .22 or go to a rabbit farm and buy them. LOL Good luck. Ya, but just think of all the fun you had...

Re: excalibur storage

Everything I've read with the stringing aid, states it's simple and quick to use, plus the are inexpensive at $29.99. Another added bonus, is it would allow you to restring your crossbow in the field too.

Great story and thumbs up to Tony for his first Doe!! :D

There's not much, that's better than a Father, Son activity like hunting, I now have the pleasure of enjoying it from both sides, as a son and as a father.
