Hey GUYS- I actually won a debate with one of their members. He was complaining about our accuracy and shooting ability. I asked him if it wasn't our responsibility as hunters to use the best method available to make clean kills and he backed off. I made a few posts after but they soon were deleted...

Read this entire thread I started over a year ago-notice the CRAP I got from a couple of people who claimed I was lying etc. I bought a bow from this guy (gave it to Darrell Pace's son as a Christmas gift-IE I made no money off of it). http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7406&...

Bowsite is the official mouthpiece of one of the most dishonest groups you will ever run into concerning xbows-the PBS (the name itself is a ever widening lie). Bowsite is a perfect example that anti xbow morons cannot stand open debate since being against xbows is a FEELING, not a rational thought....

Thanks again gang! Jim, only the possibility of some larger game in the future pushed me to the Phoenix over the highly regarded Vixen. Big Dog, sorry to hear you've suffered the same fate as me, but I am heartened to know that you're able to use the string cocker on the Phoenix as well. Golden Eag...

IMHO heavier bows are for driving heavier arrows for use on heavier beasts NOT to turn a crossbow into a 60 yard weapon. I have a vixen deluxe to hunt with. I sold my exomag and exocets and kept a new phoenix for 3D but the vixen deluxe is the ideal Ohio deer bow IMHO.

Laser II-won the last three Ohio indoors with them-as accurate as the 2114 I used to use and last longer

shot one through a big doe last year-thought I lost the arrow-a couple weeks later, after a rain, I saw it-not damaged whatsoever

75 is the minimum for Deer in Ohio. power stroke means alot on crossbows-the old barnett commando (the one you break in half to cock it lik a pellet gun) had 175 but its way way under a vixen in terms of power. My Indoor (Point Blanc with a Mark H stock and a palm rest) and outdoor (Mike Gough stock...

The Powermaster was why the early NCHA (AKA NCHO) required that metal prods (even steel which didn't have this problem) be covered with stuff that prevented splinters if the prod blew (Horton used a knit plastic-looked liked hose while Hank ROberts used a rubberlike tube). There were several major l...

waste of money with the dissipator Bars Wes. I was using limb savers probably before anyone else in SW Ohio since I was at Relo when the rep showed up in 98 or so and gave me a couple sets. I tried a set on a point blanc target bow and could find no real advantage but I have them on everyone of my m...

35MM camera film containers as scent bombs. stick some cotton in them-put a hole in the lid and a rubber band-works great. You can put some foam in them too and use them as a lube tube for arrows-even better for both are the plastic tubes that some mini m&m's come in-its long enough for a tampon...
