Re: Hunting range with 300-310fps velocities?
I posted this some time ago but maybe this will help: I was shooting my Matrix 330 with a Single Stage TT Trigger, a naked 36 strand 8190 flemish string with 7" .036 Angel Majesty serving. Brace Height was 11/16" from the riser and has Dan Miller Bumpers. the arrow was a 18" Gold Tip ...

Re: Mega 405 new style riser
Genetically modified I believe. But the 405 is no longer. I believe the remaining 405s may have been modified as I did find that the small relief angle at the edge of the riser where the limbs leave the riser had been modified on my 350LE which we all know was once a 405. The 405s are no more but t...

Re: What size rope on the cocking aid?
Hey all, I am in the process of making this Excalibur 330 mine and I want to change up the rope on the rope cocking aid - I would like to use a bight orange with some reflective in it. I have found some that is 9.5mm or 6MM - What size will match up to the original? So far I am loving this xbow - I...

Re: Joe Conover CT"s Rock Star
I've never had any dealings with the guy but as a Corrections Captain in a State Institution that treated suspects indicted with serious felony offences to get them mentally competent to stand trail i had to deal with nutcases and just plain evil people for 27 years until I retired. Based only on so...

Re: Do you use 20 yd center recticle only?
I like the concept of using just a single crosshair for targeting deer but i also hunt turkey and sometimes smaller game with my crossbow so i do use the other chevrons or dots just as i used multi-pin sights in my vertical bow days. I do have a Leupold Vendetta mounted to my 330 and so far it is wo...

Re: How Much Speed Is Really Needed
I want speed as mush as the next but the most important thing to me is accuracy and kinetic energry. This is archery ("arch" - ery). Every bow is going to cast an arrow with an arching trajectory. Myself, I want the fastest bow that I can easily and without bodily injury, bring to full dra...

Re: Must I change this limb?
X 2 That condition is kinda rare for a 330 (if thats what you have). Usually an indication of brace height too low. As advised, contact Excalibur, they will take care of you and get you a couple of flemish strings and also keep your brace height set at least 3/4" minimum from the riser/rail joi...

"Hawke Xb30 Pro Sr" Help
Just bought a Matrix 350LE from Wyvern's and just waiting for it to ship. Once i get it I will be making several upgrades and changes before i even bother to put it together. One of those upgrades will be scope and rings. I will set the included Shadowzone up, sight it in, dial-in the speed ring and...

Re: Micro 315 Reviews Please
I have a 315 saved in my shopping cart, all that's left to do is hit the pay now button. Already have a 330 but I keep asking myself, "do I really NEED another crossbow?" Although it would be a really nice rig for turkey hunting. IS THIS A SICKNESS?

Re: Quiver on/off?
Hip quiver of one sort or another when hunting. Either a sidewinder hip quiver or an old Adams Arrow Holster until time comes to drag an animal, then the hip quiver gets attached to my pack. When target shooting I use a leather pocket quiver in my back pocket.

Re: How often does everyone shoot to stay proficient
I shoot as much as time will allow. Unfortunately that's gone from hundreds of arrows per week to zero. Like many things and many types of shooting, you will get out of it as much as you put into it. Keep in mind, volume of practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect. When you fin...

Re: How often does everyone shoot to stay proficient
I normally shoot 4 to 8 arrows every day but usually only 4. I practice offhand and concentrate on my breathing, cheek weld, Trigger squeeze & timing, follow through and range estimation. I want the whole process to become second nature. I don't want to be just good enough with my weapons, I wan...

Re: What's new for 2016.....?????? Any hints?
Maybe Excalibur Marketing Dude will see this and perhaps revisit the Onieda style crossbow concept. String change and brace height adjustments could still be easily done with that design. All that said, I'm still perfectly happy with my 330.

Re: What's new for 2016.....?????? Any hints?
I really liked my Oneida bow. Made the mistake of trading it in. I had no problems with mine. I will not make the same mistake with my Excalibur. I am going to start a collection. In my opinion Excalibur Still makes the Best Crossbow. Happy Trails Stephen I too believe Excalibur makes the best cros...

Re: What's new for 2016.....?????? Any hints?
I was really off base on this. I had visions of the new Powerhouse being a Hybrid with wheels and recurve limbs, "similar to the Oneida bow" . I may have to add another Excalibur and begin my collection in 2016. Happy Trails Stephen This is an interesting concept. I once had an Onie...
