Re: 7mm-08
We bought my nephew 1 a few years back. He had success with 150Gr. 2 deer dropped in tracks but both were close, 51 and 32 yards. The 150Gr give him nice groupings on the range. Haven't tried any other grain yet. Really a habit, we hunt in brushy terrain and have always used 180gr in our. 308's. and...

Boo arrow weight knowledge
I was observing your thread with another person on a different xbow forum. 1 quick question, wouldn't excalibur increase minimum arrow weight if that solved all limb problems for good? I understand the speed quest but I'm guessing a recurve can never obtain speeds that a compound can and surely exca...

Please let us know your thoughts on it once you've had a chance to check it out. The design definitely intrigues me.

I'm more familiar with the western part of the state. There I know of 1 wildlife refuge , Pymatuning State Park, that has draws for both goose blinds and a late season deer hunt but it that section may be run federally.

Re: Farmland
They justify the oil, gas and timber by additional land purchases, etc. Shockingly the math never adds up to their claims. Also, PA has now studied the following for Gettysburg cull: professional snipers, night hunting, and my personal favorite...darting does with birth control.

Re: Farmland
The federal government owns roughly 640 million acres, about 28% of the 2.27 billion acres of land in the United States. Pennsyltucky is 71% private land ownership. Our state government has oil wells , fracking and constant logging in most of the state gamelands I hunt on. I'm not against any if the...

Re: O/T Rainbow Bridge Gussie
So sorry for your loss. We got news 2 weeks ago that our 8.5 year old pointer (gun shy and failed show dog rescue...best lap dog ever) has inoperable 9" liver mass and a life expectancy of less than 2 months. Wife and I have been debating if it's better not to know when it's coming or not, but ...

Re: micro accuracy results with different bolt weights
Another 150 grain mechanical option is the swhacker. As with all broadheads everyone has their opinion/experience. I've watched all 5 deer I've shot with them drop within 30, most within 20 (so no reason to try another). I originally shot boltcutters and the 2 deer I shot both dropped within 50 yard...

Re: Special run on discont. bows, would you buy?
No. I'm happy with the micro platform (wish it was even more narrow) that is still dependable (or quickly fixed at camp...string, limbs, etc.). Some of the compact xbows have my interest as I still hunt and cover much tornado damaged overgrown ground. Lighter and narrower would be great (ravin?), I'...

Re: Anybody gotstid locusts?
They are thick in mifflin county at our cabin. Literally sounds like walking on cereal at the base of trees in the yard (the empty shells are literally 2-3 deep)

Thanks everyone. I found some older threads on this topic that were very helpful as well. I just placed an order with Wyvern for the zombie slayers.

Black eagle/dragon claw
Are the arrows in the title the same? Looking at wyvern for 6 -12 arrows with lumenok. Also, are the zombie slayers better/worse. Thanks for the input.
