Re: 2012 season

I never got my Ibex out to practice this summer, lost my mom in June and just wasn't in the frame of mind. I have been out this month with the White .451 Super 91 and killed 3 deer so far. So the freezer is looking better along with some left over from 2011. I lost my best place to take the Ibex whe...

Re: Frontal Shot?

I would take a frontal shot if the deer wasn't spooked. Killed two this season one with muzzleloader an one with Rem 06 with this shot. Not my favorite by any means, but if you want meat you won't get them if you don't take the chance. IMO

Re: Christened my Ibex with a buck

How sweet it is...your doing better than me in the xbow dept. My Ibex went to bed for the winter, missed a spike in Oct. (miss judged the distance) Oh, well, the muzzleloader an Rem 06 made up for that. One tag left for the late MZ season. 8)

Re: Crossbow storage

1st year of storing my Ibex, but I just took the string an dissapator pads off. If it extends the life of the limbs, can't hurt but help!!

Removing pads

OK, I took the Ibex down for the winter and removed the dissapator pads at the end. What about the small pads that sit further in? Do you also loosen the limbs to get them out or leave them? thanks in advance

Re: Excalibur Crossbow Case

I have a Ibex and the Excal padded bow case and no problems here with scope, now it could be a problem with the rangefinder attachment on top of the scope. I haven't tried that yet. Also you can put a full quiver of arrows in the side pocket.

I'm using 100 gr. 1 3/8" grim reapers and so far they are dead on hitting bulls at 30yds. I hope to introduce them to a few deer this fall...

Re: S5 Shock Sound Suppresson System rods too long

Good to see this topic. I finally got my S5 mounted, had to twist the string till it sits just off the pads. Only problem is after shooting I can't tell the difference with/or without the S5 as far as any sound reduction. I left the dissapator pads on, should they stay on or off?

It won't happen....VA state law gives us the right to hunt/fish here. PETA has tried this crap before .....
