Re: gorilla glue gel

I switched from Goat Tuff to Stick Fast because of vanes coming off. Stick Fast is "instant adhesive"and it really is instant. It's used primarily by knife makers as handles, and vanes, will not come off. Vanes will tear when trying to remove.

Re: Trail cams

After having 3 Browning Recon Force stolen Christmas weekend, mine are 15 feet up. I have replaced the Brownings and 2 are in security boxes lag bolted and with a 3/8" Python Cable. If he wants these, he'll have to bring a ladder and bolt cutters. But I know if he wants them bad enough, he will...

Re: BH's fer This Season

Used the Toxic this season, took 2 with it. Both were complete pass thru, went 35 & 50 yds. Both piled up within sight. Not much of a blood trail as both were high double lung shots. Gonna stick with 'em until I see a reason to change.

Re: Deer Processin Durin Hot Temps

Hot or cold weather, I use the same procedure, debone while hanging ( I use a hitch mounted hoist), put in a big cooler with a layer of ice on the bottom, cover with ice. Next day, drain the bloody water and add more ice. I do this for 2 or 3 days. Surprising how much blood this draws out of the mea...

Re: Had a bow stolen, keep an eye out please.

Know how you feel. I had 3 Browning Recon Force trail cams stolen from behind my house, during Christmas and only 75 yards from my house. They left the Covert & Uway.

Re: OLDER HUNTERS

I'll soon be 65 and have chronic back pain. If I have my neighbor's 4 wheeler, I tie a piece of rope around the deer's neck and drag it short distances. If it's a long way, I throw the rope over a limb, make a loop in the rope about 2 feet off the ground, put one or both feet in the loop and use my ...

Re: Reason why south Florida gets damn crowded during winter

We lived in South Florida for 8 years and am glad to be outta there. From Thanksgiving to Easter, the population quadruples and most can't drive. Seemed there was a car in someone's pool every month. Right hand turns from the left lane are common. So is coming to a dead stop before turning into a pa...

Re: this is the DEADLIEST braadhead made!!!

I used the Toxic this season and like it, maybe because it looks so nasty. First kill was a doe shot from 23 yards. Saw her fall 40 yds. away. Was not much of a blood trail, all the blood was inside. Second kill was a button buck at 18 yds. Saw him fall 35 yds. away. Again, not much blood on the gro...

Re: Acorns

In this part of Tennessee, the acorn crop is the biggest anyone can remember. Do not have a clue as to why this year, but the ground is literally covered with them. The doe I killed a couple of weeks ago had more fat than any deer I've killed. Old folks say it's a sign of how cold this winter will b...

Re: Toxic Broadheads

I wholeheartedly agree with DaGriz. Saw an ad in some hunting magazine and looked at their web site. Also, there several demo videos on Youtube. Took a doe 3 weeks ago, she made it 45 yards and piled up. This morning, I shot a button buck at 20 yards and he made it 37 yards according to my rangefind...
