FOC FACT AND FALLACY

I've been reading about Bob in Pa. problem sighting in his Vzone. Since his FOC is the same as mine, 20% which is at the high end, I decided to do some accuracy tests. The arrows in question are Lii"s, 4" vanes, brass inserts, for a total weight of 431 gfr. w/ 100 gr, tip. Mine balanced at...

Wanted to let ya'll know I solved my problem w/ zwicks sliding up the shaft while in flight due to inertia. I got some small rubber "O" rings at Ace Hdwe. their # 4024295. Put them right behind the grappler and end of problem.

I lowered my FOC to 15% by putting screws in nock and couldn't see much difference. Mine weigh 431 gr. w/ 100 gr points and balance at 14" if you want to check the math, not one of my better subjects in school. By 15% I mean they then balanced at 13"

Tom: I had it snugged all the way forward to the broadhead, w/ the "grapplers" indexed to between the blades, each w/ 4. Idon't think it could have caught coming out at the shot, because the POI was real close to where it should have been, just a little low due to the extra 20 gr. I'm gonn...

Boo: Maybe I didn't make myself clear. The arrow had about 7" sticking out of the target, but the Zwick had slid all the way back onto about 3/4 inch of the fletch w/ no contact w/ target. Apparently it had to slide back during the flight to the target. I sure as heck won't be takin 30 yd shots...

Zwickey scorpions; one more time

Just shot my Z.S. today. 430 gr. LII's @ 30 yds. Had about 7" of arrow sticking out of the target, but the zs was all the way back onto the fletch, by about 3/4". They are the right size. Is this normal? Do they slide back on the shaft prior to impact?? I'm amazed it didn't peel the vanes ...

doghouse

I have a dog house too. Here's a little trick I came up w/ Cut 4 pcs of 1/2" pvc pipe, about 1 1/4" long and epoxy them into the little pouches that your over head rods go into. It makes it alot easier to set up in the dark or wind.

I had Norton, but had problems, don't know what they were, but this AVG works great. I use Yahoo for home page, and it has free spy ware. I keep getting an annoying pop-up from Winn-Fixer that I'd sure like to block, but so far haven't been able to Regards,
