Turned 58 the end of January. For my BD I got a case of pneumonia. Just beginning to get well now. It made me feel 80, but on the rebound.

I tried to order some of them back in Sept. I found two websites that offered them, but they ended up cancelling my order, because the manufacturer could not supply them on time. I waited four weeks and there was no delivery. Have you checked on supply? I would love to try them, but am leary of thei...

Years ago when I was a recurve shooter, I was out on the field range with my hunting partner shooting a round. At the time he had a huge handle bar mustache. We were shooting from different shooting positions. He was trying one bending at the waist and shooting around a bush when he lets out a blood...

I agree with the practice priciple, BUT, how do you safely recock your crossbow in a tree stand? If it is a climber like the Viper, or similar, the climbing bar is in the way, and it doesn't seem safe at any rate. Just wondering!! :?

Thanks for the tips. I'll have to get used to the experience of the tree stand, and figure out what works. I appreciate the help. :)

xbow in tree stand

This may sound like a stupid question, but ... My wife got me a climbing tree stand for Christmas. As you may remember, I have had some trepidation about getting up in one. Well I am feeling much more at ease, and really fairly comfortable in it after using it a few times. I do find it a bit confini...

A warning came with the Laser IIs that I got last spring. It recommended that you always flex the arrow before shooting to locate any weakness. If there is a flaw it should show up if you flex the arrow before putting it on the string. I don't alway do it, but that is my responsibility.

Maybe next year

I have only gotten to go out a few times this season. But had the last couple of days off so was out as much as possible. Saw several does, but no shots. I still have a couple of days before I am back to Saturdays (when they aren't full) only. Maybe next year. Going out again in the AM.

I resolve to have a more tolerant attitude toward people like "Guest" and to pray for them, as it is evident that they have problems.

Here in Arkansas crossbows have been legal during all seasons for many years. If I am not mistaken, Arkansas was one of the first states to allow their use. We have a very nice four and a half months to hunt as well.

Several years ago, I had a similar experience on a nice bull elk, with a recurve bow. Deflected off a small twig about 4 ft in front of him and hit him smack in the shoulder. There was a loud thwack sound and he was off and running. I got good blood for about 50 yards then it became a drip here and ...

I got a good deal from www.keystonecountrystore.com last year. They were very helpful, and their price was as good as I found. You have made a good decision in buying Excalibur. I love my Exomag. We have almost two months left in our season here in Arkansas and I haven't had much time to hunt as of ...

I have always boiled the heart. Open the chambers to make sure all of the blood is emptied out. Then boil it until done. Doesn't take long. Slice it up and it makes DELICIOUS sandwiches. I always keep the heart just for sandwich eatin.
