Ecoaster,is that styrofoam the coarse popcorn type of board or the fine grained stuff? Years ago tried using the fine grained stuff with my compound arrows but what a pain to pull them out! Just curious what they are like to pull out of your target?

Yeah, rather than just dropping the matter,I think it would be worth trying to talk to someone else with Horton and explain how you are treated. You have nothing to lose and plenty to gain. I know the Excalibur diehards love to hear about hardships with any other brand of x-bow, but I really find it ...

I filled out the form for the free one as well but have not received it as of yet. Hopefully it is coming. Their web site does say they have dropped the free broadhead promotion as they had over 11,000 requested!

Tag costs for you?

What does it cost for you to buy hunting tags in your province or state? I am curious about your resident cost, not out of province or state. In Alberta,we are required to have a WIN card (wildlife ident. no.) which is $8.00 and good for five years. A wildlife cert. is required yearly,$24.35, it is $...

Swede,I can't remember who posted it now offhand, but I know a couple of guys on the forum have had spacers (1"?) machined to go between the end of their rail and the riser to increase the length of the stroke and increase poundage. You might be able to find it with a search or maybe some one wi...

Tree stand sale.

There are Gorilla ladder stands and tree stands on sale right now here in Canada. It is getting to that time of the year. At the risk of sounding like a sales rep. for Canadian Tire :D here is the link. http://www.canadiantire.ca/assortments/browse_product.jsp?FOLDER<>folder_id=1408474396670072&...

One thing to consider,if you only swap risers, your bow will still say exomax. With your 200 lb. legal limit, you may still have some grief if checked by a game warden. I am sure they don't carry a scale, maybe a masterlist of xbow models with their rated drawweight? On his list, your bow will still be...

Is CanadianTire Canada's Wal*Mart? I think more like Farm & Barn or other so-called farm implement joints. I think Canadian Wally Worlds are the same as ours for the most part. bstout, :D , here is the home page for canadian tire,I don't think you will find any farm implements. http://ww...

I see what you are getting at bstout, but I honestly don't think anyone could say Can. tire sells rejects or seconds. I would put it in the same class as Walmarts, which I guess some people don't care for either. I admit I have bought a lot of stuff from Cambodian Tire and I am happy with most o...

Farmer, you are right, the prices for those arrows are nuts! Walmarts prices are right up there with them, I can't believe they aren't more competitively priced. But there must be a few suckers to buy them or they would lower the price.

Being from "Crappy Tire" does not necesarily make it a "bad" bow. They are a dept. store and do sell name brand stuff. The Red Deer store near me stocked Tenpoint crossbows and Bear compound bows last fall,I havn't seen their selection this year. HOWEVER,like I said this is new a...
