I'm not sure if this is the reason, but, have you ever seen the size of the deer douth of the border? Some of their "big" bucks are the size of the does up here, ~130-160 lbs. At least from the ones I've seen in Ney York's southern tier.

Glad to hear it. I really liked the stand, but where I hunt, it's easier to put up ladders and leave them there. I haven't had one walk away in 15+ years. (knock on wood!)

Glad to see the old climber is still being used. I sold that Climber to Red a few years ago. I use ladders now for the most part.

To put the stuff on curves, it helps if you use your wife's hairdryer (when she's not looking or all heck breaks loose!). Just warm it up a bit and it will form just fine. If you notice some air bubbles, just use a straight pin to get rid of them. Good luck! I aslo want to see pics.

Ecoaster, I had a sight like that 10 years ago. I can't remember the name. It's an adjustable sight that's missing the finger adjustment. You could adjust for yardage with the index finger on your bow hand. I've got the finger thingy in my archery box. I liked it for hunting. Worked rather well back...

Save your money TYE. Very cheaply made and overpriced. Go with the Savage, you will not regret it. If you are a little tight on cash, take a serious look at the Stevens line. Just as accurate as the Savage, without all the bells and whistles. I have the Savage 10FPLE-1A. What a tack driver! I picked...
