All you need is a sharp filleting knife. I've got enough gadgets.

I'm even cheaper than that. I use a 2219 with a field point and a washer wedged between the field point and insert. Works great and it costs about $5 for all.

The scales at the farm are certified for trade. Weighed the buck after my weigh in and was off by 35 lbs or so from the Dew Drop's scale. The guy that weighed mine was also weighing in his deer as well.

Will they have a better scale than last year? My deer " mysteriously" gained 40 lbs or so at the butcher. Go figure.

Scope question and advice please

As a temporary solution, I'm thinking of putting a 3x9x40 mildot scope on my new to me crossbow for this year (Thanks DW! :D ). Would it handle the recoil? This scope has come off of a .223 rifle. I was thinking of leaving it at 4x, sight in the crosshair at 20 yards and use the mildots for yardage ...

You could always modify the top of an old tripod to accept the stock width. Use some pvc pipe cut in half, and add some padding. Pretty cheap to make, totally adjustable and works well. I used to use this when sighting in my hunting guns. Hope this helps.

Tye, Get your butt back in school! Giving up is the worst thing you can do. Stick it out until they kick you out. GED's are good but at your age, going to an interview without your OSSD won't give you a fair chance at getting the job. Trust me, I've done enough interviews in the last 4 months to cho...

I thought it was because Ten Point and Excal crossbow strings rode the rail and that the others, their string rode just a hair off the rail. What do you know, something new, thanks guys.
