Lining up fletching with broadhead blades

Being new to bow/xbow hunting, someone told me the other day that the vanes and the blades of the broadhead must be in line. I tried mine and they don't line up when tightened. I asked the question at the sports shop and he told me to sand/file the insert down enough to be able to turn and line it u...

Re: Blackout bumper questions

Almost Amen. I want to close or at least put an ending to it. Final result is that my son finally got to speak to the owner of the shop. He explained where the string setting should be and the fact that it was not right when he left the store. Apparently the owner got on the phone with Excalibur and...

Re: Blackout bumper questions

If I may add my 2c, just the fact that the scopes don't react the same as rifle scopes, it took me awhile to realize that by adjusting the speed ring, it was actually widening or narrowing the spacing between the distance markers inside the scope (except the 20 yard marker), but nobody was actually ...

Re: Blackout bumper questions

You can make a very inexpensive stringing aid with some nylon rope of at least 90 lbs strength. I don't want to take any sales away from Excalibur but when you pay over $1000. for a unit...... My son doesn't earn $40.00 an hour and his blackout was in his heart and soul but he does have a limit. The...

Re: Blackout bumper questions

What about a note inside the box (if purchased that way) and/or an informative letter to all the dealers what the string parameters should be prior to selling? Mine came in the box and had to assemble the limb, etc. Watched the video and nowhere do I remember any reference to the string settings, th...

Re: Blackout bumper questions

Agree totally on the above two posts but I think Excalibur should add some more detail info in their package box on string positioning. As far as a stringing aid, there are others ways of doing this without spending much money, some good vids on youtube. My question remains unanswered, do all the sh...

Re: Blackout bumper questions

I basically told the two guys that those bows should not be sold that way because not everybody is in the know, advised them to contact excalibur directly to get more info....... Anyway, we told them we wanted two new bumpers because those ones were destroyed. He agreed, I told him we'll take care o...

Re: Blackout bumper questions

Boy do I have a story. Brought the blackout back to the sports shop and showed the guys how much the string was indented into the bumbper. The both agreed this was not normal but after looking at all their excalibur crossbows hanging up, all of them had the string touching the bumpers and some were ...

Re: Blackout bumper questions

I'm on the road thus do not have my 405. I guess my dilema is wondering if different bumper lengths would alter string tension therefore changing the kinetics to get the .25 inch height.

Re: Blackout bumper questions

I understand the brace ht but seems the bumper length is a non issue? Are they all the same length for all models?
