I shot a Parker Terminator last season until the limb splintered the first week of bow season. Other than that, it seemed like a quality bow, shot great. However, after talking to Parker, they admitted to having a limb problem (claimed to have fixed it though) and I just didn't feel confident buying...

Thanks guys, I really think I spaced out the seating of the arrow. Started getting complacent shooting them bulletholes.

Gad,

Explain low brace height to me. Is it forward towards the limbs or aft towards the stock. I'm assuming it is forward. My string is even between the 2 lines now. As far as the string being stretched, I just replaced it about 20 shots ago.

string jumping off

While shooting last night my string came off, it wasn't a dry fire (I've experienced that). The arrow launched and bullseyed the target. The only thing I remember doing different was I slid my arrow off the rail to look at the number on the arrow since I was tracking arrow flight. I must not have se...

Taxman, It's actually a 2004 Kansas buck. Not big by their standards, but big enough for me. Last year my MK-85 miss fired on his grand dad. I had a bad batch of Triple 7 pellets and misfired on a monster buck at 20 yards. I was heart broken, but that's why it's called hunting and not killing. Rich

Ninepointer, It's not much of a story, I was hunting PA's bear season with my PSE bow. I had set up a tree stand on the edge of a swamp where I had found some bear droppings. I was only in the stand a 15-20 minutes when he came walking through the woods I doubled lunged him with a 2216 XX75 tipped w...

My best trophies

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g116/bowmuzhntr/bb1.jpg These are my 2 best trophies I've taken to date. The buck is a blackpowder kill and the bear is a vert-bow kill. The bear, although not a monster was killed "all natural" with that I mean no bait. I have yet to take anything with m...

Ecoaster, No way would I attempt a 50 yard shot. It's just nice to know how accurate Excaliburs are. A lot of people doubt the accuracy of them, I've read on other sites where they brag about their 2-4" groups at 20 yards with their "other brand bows". Here's a picture of a 20 yard sh...

Crazyfarmer,

I think you'll see a lot more VA guys popping up here with VA allowing xbows now. As you already know, I'm right down the road in Gloucester, VA. Actually from PA, but joined the Navy 26 years ago (still on active duty).

Crazyfarmer,

Are those Tappahanock deer, the spread is nice on the big buck. Are you in a hunt club or hunting the farm you work. E-mail me if you want to get together to shoot some arrows, your only about an hour away.

bolt grouping differances

I recently bought some GT Laser II's, I have noticed up to 2" differance in grouping of the bolts (at 20 yards). However individually all bolts shot bullet holes, they just don't group collectively as a whole. Is there that much of a differance between each bolt. I can't see it being a tuning p...
