Oh Man, A Classic!!!!,,,,,, I think we've all done it at least one ... Only thing to do right away is Ice it, (I'm sure it's too late for that) but then alternate heat and cold and stay off it......A couple of Advils or better yet some vodka are useful too..... .....One good thing it does is make yo...

I don't have any first hand experience, but a friend of mine kills and cooks a lot of venison, ducks and geese, and according to him one thing that you can do, among other things, is make Goose Breast Jerky.... According to him you can't tell the difference between that and venison jerky and I know ...

I've built a couple of flintlocks in the past made of tiger stripe maple and that is one fine piece of maple... It would have made a fine gunstock, and now it'll make a fine crossbow stock... Just keep your tools sharp...That maple grain needs to be cut clean.....Good luck with the project I'm sure ...

Scout Gaurd Trail Cameras????
I've never heard about them and you guys know about these things, so I figured to ask the experts... A friend of mine just got a Scout Gaurd SG550 trail camera and I was just wondering if anybody knows about or is using them?... How do they compare to the others like Cuddleback or Moultrie?... He sa...

Absolutely correct... Once deer get accustomed to something they almost totally forget about it.... I have a gun stand that I put up strips of camo cloth hanging from the safety rail and everytime the wind blows it moves the cloth. I've had deer come by look up and see the movement and continue to f...

I've never seen it done with a compound bow and sights... I know a couple of longbow shooters that do it... In fact, a friend of mine that builds longbows went on his first pheasant hunt a year ago and killed a rooster right out of the air on the first try... I thought that was pretty good but he th...

Mulies are a Hoot!!..... I chased them around several seasons in the late 80's when I was out elk Hunting in New Mexico... I would always see a giant when elk hunting but never when I had a deer tag.... In fact, the very first elk hunt I was on in New Mexico, in 1985, opening day, very early morning...

Curlng the tip like that was typical with a lot of broadheads. Bear Razorheads, Hilbre, Zwicky Deltas and I even had some Rothaar Snuffers do it... It's the soft steel... I hadn't heard about the Woodsman doing it, but it doesn't surprise me..... Wabi, I think you're right about those Magnus Snuffer...

Sharpening Your Own....
In my misspent ute, I used to sharpen my own broadheads (razorheads, zwicky, snuffers) by hand using a couple of stones and a leather polishing strap... It took a while but I could get them dangerously sharp....It a was way of signaling the start of bowhunting season....Somewhere along the line I go...
