Thanks for all of the great info feller's. I stopped off at "that store" in Toronto. They only carry "Eastman Outdoors - Jerky Cure? I picked up a can of "Hickory" and thought I would give it a shot. Has anybody else tried this product?

Correct me if I am wrong because I cant say from personal experience but I have read that some will double the bands to ensure that they will not open in flight.

O/T Anybody make beef jerky using a smoker?

I picked up a Northland Smoker (cost me the fuel to pick it up), the other day just could not turn it down. :shock: Does anybody have and/or know where I might get some beef jerky recipies? I would like to do up a big batch for the boys on our upcoming moose hunt? :wink:
