A real nice advertisment for grim reaper. I myself will stick to a fixed broadhead. No test can actually represent a hunting condition and I have personally seen mechanicals fail on two seperate instances. I guess I am just old school. But I do know this, the more moving parts there are on any type ...

I just can not see any grey area here when it comes to huning inside of a fence. It is not fair chase and never will be fair chase. Every animal that is hunted has a right to seek escape where it sees fit. If that trophy your seeking wants seek refuge on your neighbors property that does not allow h...

It doesn't matter if it is 500 or 50,000 acres. High fence is not fair chase. Not everyone who hunts these things are hunting in the middle of this acreage. Some of the best hunting on a particular ranch may be within 200 yards of this fence. Some 190+ inch deer on any high fence operation may have ...

Stryker Crossbow
Finally got to see one live and up close. I do not want to start another long hotly debated thread on the Stryker again but I would still like to post my impressions and MY opinion. After closely looking at this bow it just doesn't seem to be a bow for the hard core hard hunting hunter. The way the ...

Ohio has some of the best public hunting in the states. With Wayne National Forest, Shawnee, Hocking, Tar Hollow, Zaleski and the AEP lands just to name a few. And the best thing is that at any one of Ohio's public land you have a chance to kill a real trophy deer. And as bstout stated it is one of ...

Number one this isn't really a public forum, it is owned and operated by Excalibur. Bill has never had a problem with us talking positively about Ten Point, Horton, Barnett or Parker. They are all good bows in their own right and all have some features we like or dislike. But these features are a di...

We all have to ask ourselves one question; do we want a bow shooting 400+ fps. Sumner4991 brought up the subject of a well balanced spear to hunt with. Well thats exactly what we used to do until someone came up with an idea to launch that spear with a stick and string which we now call a bow and sp...

if I were you chris I would try to borrow a centerfire rifle. Coyotes are pretty tough animals and can take a beating. If you only take heads shots using round nose bullets (not hollow points) it should do the job but it is still iffy. If you do miss your mark and hit his jaw he will die a slow pain...

I think that the guide acted correctly on this hunt guys. His foremost responsibilty besides getting you game is to keep you safe. Looks like he jumped up and got in front of his clients to take the confrontation on himself which is the smartest thing to do. He does not want some paying client to st...

We have used two automatic feeders over the last two years and we think it has made a difference in keeping the deer on our property all year. We only use whole corn but we do not hunt by the feeders until the last day if we need to take a doe to fill out the freezer. We let the feeders become a fee...
