There was actually an ad for Maximus Crossbows in the back of my Ontario Out of Doors Magazine!! Whats up with that? There is no ad for excalibur even though they are an Ontario based company!!! Yeah....nice labs fer sure. My dog of choice would be either a lab or retriever, so great mix as far as I'm concerned. Hope you have years of fun. My parents have/had a couple of black labs...1 left....they are great dogs.

.... I as well shot them for a couple seasons but have had some break and have seen pics of other carbons that had splintered in the animal so with that being a possibility I switched back to aluminum 2216's for health reasons..... mine not the deers. I don't want to eat meat with carbon splinters ...

Hi Mikdor, Your brace height should sit between an inch to an inch1/2. The newer bows have marks on the rail to indicate proper brace height.
