Re: Might be a while.

Yup. I just developed the same thine about 2 weeks ago. I went out with my Exomax yesterday and was ok. Doc told me not to lift more than 20 lbs. My surgery is not until June 15, then no lifting for 6 weeks. Now I did the math, and that puts me into August before I can cock my crossbow. CRAP CRAP CR...

Re: Newbie question

Thanks for the help. I do like the new Matrix series crossbows. but did not have the cash for a new one. Also decided to see if I like it first as well. In all honesty, the size of the Exomax is not an issue where I hunt, Plus it is stupid accurate, and carries more than enough energy for deer hunti...

Newbie question

Well, First year deer hunting ever and with a crossbow. Saw 5 deer this season, only one close enough to get a shot at, But it was still too dark to shoot. With no previous experience,I do not want to wound an animal. At this point, I need to know that I have a good clean shot. Ya I know, the newbie...

Re: A HEX FROM WYNNE THE WICKED WITCH

We have a dictatorship in Ontario now. This Liberal Gov. has no, I repeat no f@(#!^& concept on how to financially conduct business. They truly believe that all income should go directly to them, and they will dole out an allowance to us. I or any of us on this forum would do serious jail time i...

Re: Beverley Swamp

I am new to deer hunting this year as well. Also live in Cambridge. I'm fortunate to have an experienced deer hunter share his hunting grounds with me , and show me the ropes. I've seen 5 deer, but not that I could get a shot at. This area is south east of Cambridge. But yes. The stars must line up ...

Re: Who else is shooting an old school Excalibur?

Bought a used Exomax in September. Have not had a shot at a dear yet. But this thing is stupid accurate. I split a bolt my first day with it, then a friend of mine split a bolt with it a week later. Lesson. Don't shoot at the same place twice.

Re: What to Sell?

Shame about the Exomax not being worth as much. I bought a used one this year, and it shoots great. My first day with it I split a bolt ( i understand it's called "pulling a Robin Hood"). I'm using Easton bolts 2219 with 150 grain bolt cutters. I no longer shoot twice at the same spot. My ...

Big buck

In the tree stand at 6:30 this morning.About 6:45 - 6:50 a.m. I her walking behind and to the right of me. I am brand new at this dear hunting, and have not hunted in 25 years. So I sit as still as I can, then I see the nice size rack come into view. He putters and grazes a bit, about 25 yards in fr...

Re: carbon arrows/bolts ?

I have a few carbon fiber Firebolts, and some Easton 2219 aluminum bolts. Using an Exomax. My crossbow has split an arrow using either bolts at 20 yards. I had 150 grain fieldpoints on the bolts. The aluminum bolts I guess are a bit heavier than the carbon bolts, therefor are a bit slower, but carry...

Excalibur Exomax

Just bought an Excalibur Exomax. Friend of mine said Excalibur was the best. This seems to be a serious piece of work. Very accurate   . Dear season opens tomorrow. Looking forward to trying this out. Using aluminum 2219 with the bolt cutters. Brand new to cross bows, and deer hunt...
