Re: What is your dream hunt?
Canadian Whitetail hunt with my Excalibur would be #1 on my list. Then maybe an Elk hunt somewhere out west.

Re: So my Micro tried the Ramcat broadhead today.
I had a few Ramcats years ago, but found that they were very loose and rattled a lot. Didn't keep them long. Have they improved that issue? If you take the little hex key that comes with them and tighten them, they are rock solid. Don't budge. I did this right out of the package for added insurance...

Re: So my Micro tried the Ramcat broadhead today.
Very impressive indeed! I heard they're a hybrid fixed/mechanical. The pics just look mechanical. Did I miss something? Paul The blades are sharpened on both sides and if for some reason you do not get a pass through the blades will pivot towards the front and cut. Pretty darn cool. Makes them easy...

So my Micro tried the Ramcat broadhead today.
All I can say is YOWZA!!! and BAZINGA!!! I have been converted. These things are amazing. I'm shooting 100 grain Ramcat on a 16.5" Black Eagle Zombie with 92grain insert and plastic knock. Total arrow weight is 375 grains. These bad boys are shooting better then any broadhead I've ever ...

Re: Quiver for Ramcats?
Just found a "Kwikee Kwiver" 4 arrow combo for a good price on Ebay. Says it's designed to handle both Fixed blades and mechs.
I hope I just did not waste my money! ...but it was half price.

Quiver for Ramcats?
Noticed that the Ramcats I just got in do not like the standard Excal quiver. Does anyone know of a quiver that works with these heads?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Need help with Spitfires
Certainly wouldn't hurt to put dental bands around them as added insurance. I've noticed with my spitfires that after only one shot into my Reinhart 18-1 target, the target material smashes the dimple on the retention clip flat and they won't stay open after one shot into that target. I had a repres...

Re: Help me get my Fix(ed) - Slick Trick Vs. Ramcat
I heard back from a representative for Slick Trick regarding the difference between the "crossbow" model and the other models offered. Apparently there is NO difference between the Magnum and Crossbow models other than the packaging. Thought I would pass along what she said: "Thank yo...

Help me get my Fix(ed) - Slick Trick Vs. Ramcat
I've always shot expendables, but would like to tinker with some fixed blade heads. Just curious how my Micro will shoot them. I'm shooting 100 grain heads on my BEZ's. In my reading on here, it seems as though the fixed guys tend to go with either Slick Tricks or Ramcats. Now... For you slick trick...

I did. and... meh.
Did it reduce noise... maybe a little.
Worth the 50-60 bucks extra. Nope.

Re: So whats in your bag?
I hunt down in middle/south Georgia, so usually a bottle of water, my thermacell (a must!) my Excalibur, some wind direction powder, and a flashlight. Also, I tend to undress and hunt in just my boots, boxers and a hat with my mesh leaf suit over. When it's 90+ degrees and the humidity is 90% clothi...

Re: Any issue with this arrow recipe for my micro?
Try them w/ 100 gr points.... That's my arrow from Southshore save the 125 gr bheads Just got in my arrows from southshore and went with the recommendation to shoot 100 gr points and it's the best groups I've ever shot from a crossbow! Micro is shooting less than 1" groups at 50 yard...
