Depends on what you want. In southern Ontario and in some locations in Northern Ont. we have good numbers of whitetails with some very good bucks. Ontario is not as well known for trophy bucks, but I think that is changing. I know Ontario, allows xbows, but I'm not sure about the other provinces. Al...

I haven't hunted moose for several years now. My last trip was a fly in. No one in thr group even saw a moose. The fishing was good, but a fishing trip would have been much cheaper. With all the deer tags we can get now and the occaional goose hunt, I seldom venture far from home to hunt. Don't get ...

Keep in mind turkey's often feed in the same corn and grain stuble fields that geese and puddle ducks do. I would think there is certainly potential for turkey's to become infected. As for coyotes and deer. I've never really heard if there is potnetial for those speices to become infected, but I gue...

Hey I have one of those old carved limb Exocets that I bought brand new in 1994. Its the only bow I have still. I have killed more than 30 whitetails with it. I used to have a red dot on it but I changed to a drop zone scope this year because I had to pass on a couple of chances in low light conditi...

This is very bad news and very scary. This could well end deer hunting in North America as we now know it. In future I could see governments having to higher sharp shooters to cull deer heards, because there are no longer enough hunters around willing to take the risk of killing and consuming veniso...

That really depends on where you are planning to hunt. Canada is large country with 10 provinces and 2 territorries. Each has its own set of fish and game laws. Suffice to say here in Ontario, crossbows are accepted as an archery weapon for any archery season in the province. So during the bear acrh...

Got One
Got my first of the season yesterday morning at about 9:15. He decided to wander in to eat a few apples from under the tree in front of my stand. I waited for a broad side shot. Got my shot at 15-20 yds. He ran about 60yds total before I watched him go down. I waited 1/2 hour before approaching. It ...
