Re: Crossbow Pricing ?
MSRP is CAD. If it were USD a new suppressor(1299.00) would cost us Canadians after conversion: $1729.77 I checked some Canadian sites and that bow retails for approx. $100 less than Mrs.. Thanks, I was looking at used Excalibur and when I was talking with the seller, he mentioned he paid almost $1...

Re: Crossbow Pricing ?
The MSRP's are as far as I know. The trading post could be anything. Sorry, I should clarify my question. I was referring to the new crossbows and not the trading post section. I do know prior to the acquisition, the MSRP prices were listed in Canadian funds and I'm pretty sure everything else has ...

Re: Boofest 2017 anyone?
Finally, my schedule should permit me to attend another Boofest gathering! I'm going to pencil it in for now, I just need to be sure it wont conflict with any racing.

Re: Bow not as fast as you thought?
I found optimum speed with my Phoenix with more brace height then I expected. I'd have to dig through my notes, but I think I've had it just shy of 310 fps.

Re: Son's First Deer - Proud Dad!
That was an excellent read! I've been fortunate enough to share experiences with my son and my father with other activities and the feeling never gets old!

Re: please delete.
I have to agree with Boo and would also like to add, that anyone complaining about the date should be a compliment to you Ken. The only way a member would be concerned, would be because the obviously would like to attend. I also think you should reconsider posting it back up, there are rookies like ...

Stopped By to Say Hi
As much as I love my crossbow and the outdoors, I haven't had much time to enjoy either, with life being so busy in a good way. I do have a tag and will be out at least once this year though.
Hope everyone is keeping well and fingers crossed, I hope Boofest will be on an open weekend for me lol.

Re: Favorite time of day to hunt?
I've seen more deer in the late afternoon to dusk. I think the worst sighting was on my first hunt with my father. We were walking side by in a densely wooded area, but we were on a path that was still lit as the sun was making its way down to the horizon. I heard a rustling to my fathers left and s...

Re: My Cabin Fever Cure
Thanks again for the compliments, I think I'm going to just clear it and let it speak for itself. I added one more touch today to exploit the grain at the shoulder rest. It looks so much different when the grain direction is changed. A bit more sanding and it should be ready to be dressed. http://i5...

Re: My Cabin Fever Cure
Thanks for the kind words, folks. It really is cool to watch it take shape from a block of wood as it transforms to a stock. I think the most challenging part was trying to understand it in three dimension and not cutting out wood that would be needed. I will be sure to post pics of it completed, I'...

My Cabin Fever Cure
I'm actually so busy, I don't have time for Cabin fever lol  , but I do miss being on the site and crossbow hunting. I have to say thank you, to Agingcrossbower (Mike) for more then one reason. His custom stock are outstanding, for taking the time to share his knowledge openly on the site and ...
