Re: Vert bow opinions

I love traditional archery. I currently own 3 recurves, and all the classic books. Even got to meet Fred Bear years ago. But I struggle to get a 50 lb.bow to full draw. I wish it weren't so but that's where I am now.

Re: Vert bow opinions

Over the years I have shot many recurves and longbows but none as well as my stripped down PSE. And as I get older the stickbows are that much harder for me to shoot accurately. So, that being said I guess i would like something faster than my old bow but I would prefer a bow that looks like a bow n...

Vert bow opinions

I have shot the same PSE Laser Mach1 since 1980. I was thinking it might be fun to try a bow made in this century. I have always shot with fingers, tried a release and did not care for it. Can't see sights well at all but shoot just fine out to 35 yards without them. I am used to a smooth draw of 50...

Re: Micro string

I am doing all that has been suggested. Never had a problem before when changing strings. Any recommendations for a no stretch cord out there?

Micro string

Hey, is it just me or is it much harder to get a bow string installed on a Micro. I'm having a very hard time getting my stringer tight enough to draw the limbs back far enough to put my twisted up string on properly. I'm using a black Excal stringer, maybe my cord is too stretchy. Any suggestions w...

Shout out to Woodys

Okay so the dreaded micro limb crack happened to my 335 after hundreds of shots. I got online and got an RMA, easy peasy. Put my broken limb set in a padded envelope and sent them off to the nearest warranty station as directed - Woody's Sporting Goods in PA. It took 2 days to get there, they shippe...

Re: Favorite Excal Model/s

My Micro 315 newly converted from a 335. Love the size and balance. Easy to cock with plenty of speed. My Matrix 355 is faster but about a pound heavier so it is the back up.

Re: Reasons we sold Prior Excals ?

In the handful of years that I have been afflicted with the crossbow bug I have owned nearly a dozen bows. All in the quest for my perfect bow. Started with a Horton then 2 Barnetts, next a TenPoint then finally Excalibur in this order: Ibex, Vortex, Matrix 310, Matrix 330, Phoenix, Y25 Relayer, Mic...

335 got you tired?

Hey guys if pulling on that rope to cock the Micro 335 or a 355 gets to be a real pain you have to consider the 315. On paper it does not look like much of a difference but in reality .....man, what a joy to shoot. The whole draw is easier. Makes the 240 lbs. draw of my Matrix 355 seem harder. I kno...

Re: One bow, two stories

I have already filed an RMA and awaiting instructions. I have no worries. Last year I fell while hunting and jammed up the trigger on my 355; Woodys had it fixed and back to my home in a week.

Re: One bow, two stories

With the new riser there should have been less stress on the limbs. There was definitely less stress on me when cocking the bow. I believe they will honor the warranty. This has been a well known problem with the early production run of these limbs. It seems to me the left limb fails in most cases. ...

One bow, two stories

When the Micro 335 hit the market I got one. A great bow, but, a pain in the back to shoot much. So when the 315 came out I figured if I swap risers I would be a happier camper. Well it finally happened thanks to forum member janesy from Canada. We traded risers. He got a faster bow and I got a slow...

Re: Uncocking micro 335

Just a warning, you will hear a loud crack or snap at the start when decocking just ignore it and slowly let the bow down.

Riser trading

Okay, I have a Micro 335 mounted in a custom stock but want a Micro 315. So , if I bought a new 315 could I just swap risers with my 335. I want to keep my 335 rail since it is already been modified to fit my wood stock. Are there any problems with this idea that I just don't know yet?
