Re: which would be easier to cock
I went from an Exocet to and Exomax a couple of years ago and like the fit a lot better. I'm 6'2" with long arms. That being said if you have a short arms or any sort of shoulder issues you might consider and Exocet for Vortex. The shorter rail length will make it much easier to cock and the di...

Re: Heated jacket
A deep cycle batter with a little solar panel to charge it up and you'd be all set. Climb into your stand or blind, plug yourself in and you'll be toasty warm!

Re: BIG BONE HEAD IN THE BONEYARD!
A lady at work hit a deer at Wonderland and Springbank a couple of weeks ago. Did over $4000 damage to her car. I don't know if it was a buck or a doe.

Looks good. What process did you use to get it like that? I've got my 9 pointer hanging outside on the back of my shed letting it go au naturel.

Re: Uncocking with bolt still in..Part 2
Sorry fellas I'm with Cossack on this one. I just don't know how that could happen. Once I'm out of the woods into an area where there is no possibility of a deer jumping up infront of me the arrow is out of the bow. Same thing with a gun. Unloaded just the same.

Re: O / T This mornings goose hunt.
Nice haul!
I don't know if you're getting the same amount of rain as we are here in the London area but I've got a few new ponds in my fields that never existed before!
Good for you for taking part in "Movember". I'm doing it too with a group of guys from work.

Re: need help finding a crossbow
I have a friend that bought a Phoenix Lite Stuff package 3 years ago and I doubt it has even been shot 10 times. He was trying to sell it last year but no one was offering what he wanted for it. I can check with him to see if he is still interested in selling it and what he will take.

Re: 2011 9 pointer
I took it to the butcher's yesterday. 123 pounds skinned with head and bottom of legs off. So probably 175 to 200 gross? Felt like 500 when we were trying to drag it up out of the ravine it went down into.

Re: 2011 9 pointer
Thanks everyone.
Something else that I forgot to mention that is pretty cool. When we were looking for him we found a shed. Turn out the shed is his! Probably 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch more length on all the tines and a lot more mass this year.

2011 9 pointer
I shot this guy on Friday at 4:45 pm. He came in behind me up wind hot on the tail of a doe. At about 20 yards the doe split left and he turn right giving me a nice quartering shot. He went about 50 yards before he expired. We snapped a couple of quick pics as we were running out of light. Then tagg...
