Re: Arctic Shield gear

wore mine around in the 15 degree wind chill temps and didnt get cold at all. Wind actaully stayed out. So far so good 8)

still for a all day set ill more than likely wear the cold gear shirt, thermal, shirt, fleece pullover, and then the jacket. Layering is always key

Re: Arctic Shield gear

i just got the AX1 I think yesterday.. its the pro line or something. Was 179.99 on sale for 129.99. Im just sick of having to wear 4 layers and 3 jackets to stay warm. Being out in the cool air before sunup till after dark will find the weak link in anything for warmth. Ill do some serious testing ...

Re: Treestands verses Groundblind

Another positive thing about tree stands is it gets you above a lot of the brush so you have less obstructions between you and the Deer and can help with your scent also but plenty of people still get winded in tree stands . that depends also.. sometimes you can have more brush such as limbs in you...

Re: Good ole FEDEX

euro mounts are 75-100 here depending on the plaque used. Head mounts are 350-450 on average.. Ray, did you find all the pieces to the antler? If so you can get glues and etc and put them back on. It wont be nice and neat, but it would be a quick fix. Probably would cost you 25bucks or so. They shou...

Re: 6 year old son got first deer today

Thanks everyone.. His face gets red now when everyone comes up and says congrats to him. My daughter wants to go today now. She didnt want to shoot until he got one. The doe and small bucks are feeding hard here! If you can stand the temps. Its 22 right now. I can see I will be investing in a better...

6 year old son got first deer today

I took my little boy out today in the ground blind since buck movement is slim to none. Hunted a clover field of ours which I had seen 25 deer in 2 days ago. I went in around 1pm and put the blind up where the majority of the deer had entered the field. I picked him up from school and we were in the...

Re: love it when people get jealous

Is it "LEGAL" to screw steps in trees you dont own? Does the farmer know you use them? Why not sticks? Its legal here to use them.. I use them since 6 usually get me up 18 ft. 12bucks is also a cheap price. I am the farmer btw:) The pres of the club had a meeting and made everyone aware t...

those would be scars from a bigger buck;)

my guess is he's a 2.5 year old and ran into a 3.5-5 year old granddaddy

if you dont get him this year, he will be one heck of a buck next year. Great mass right now

I decided to hunt one of my stands I hunted last week yesterday and when I went to climb up it I noticed some idiot had taken the screw in steps out(just the bottom 4 of 7). The hunt club hunts this land also(dogs) and I know they went down there Saturday. Its just common that people go to this leve...

Re: Game Warden Shot

sad to see in the line of duty... everyone gives them a hard time for doing their jobs and you wonder why they have guns drawn or a hand on their service weapon when questioning you.
