Good questions and since I'm new to crossbow hunting as well, I'm looking forward to the replies because I'm shooting the same broadhead this season.

Re: Axiom advice
I've been extremely well pleased with my Axiom purchase. It's very accurate and probably the best deal going for what you get! All you need are some broadheads and you're ready to go hunting.....

Use this address to watch part 1&2 to decide for yourself if you want to undertake this endeavor. I plan to do it myself in the future but have spare strings for now. It's a good skill to acquire in my opinion and the instruction is amazingly well presented.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZILK...

Re: Summit Titan SD Climbing Tree Stand:
Thanks for the replies... Still not sure how they will work on a Pine tree with that cable. My old one from back in the day when I could shoot my compound bow had a metal bar that bit into the bark pretty good. Will test it out when it comes in.

Re: Time to get serious!
If it were my choice, I'd opt for the crossbow. It's more of a challenge, it's more fun, and you don't have to clean it with solvent after the shot... PS: GOD bless you for serving our Country...

I haven't owned a tree climber in 15+ years and they've changed a lot!!!! Looks like it'll hold this old fat man... Will k...

Re: request for bowhunting advice
