Anything you add to string or limbs will affect arrow speed and not do anything meaningful for noise reduction. Just the nature of the beast called crossbow, esp recurve. Learn to shoot at relaxed, reasonably close deer.

I reserve 3 times max and throw. They don't seems worn out by then, just like making Flemish strings

Yes, blue loc tite works great. Don't overdo it in case you want to remove the base some day. Best method is to put on screw threads and let dry before installing.

In my opinion, how serving is applied has more to do with serving separation than what is used. I had all sorts of issues with separation until Boo taught me how to serve a crossbow string: Super tight. Some serving wears better than other, Angel is best, Halo close second. Even BCY will do the job ...
