Re: Tree stand gear pull up rope
Green paracord (bought in bulk) and snap, leave one attached to each ladder stand. Adjusted so that bow hangs off ground when attached. Be sure to check for squirrel chewing.

Re: Looking for a scope, maybe a red dot, advice please
I will be using it mainly for hunting. I would like to shoot up to 50 yards if possible but I understand this is difficult in the woods. I may be hunting on the edge of a field so that would give me a clear shot at least, if I did want to extend my range. Shooting "out to 50 yards" is pre...

Re: Sound Suppression Question
Yes string stoppers, heavier arrows and even cat whiskers help to reduce noise and vibration. A BIT. But, while they may please our ears -marginally- they do NOT 'quiet' a crossbow to the point where an alert deer won't react to the noise. Most everything is relative...including noise. (Based on my ...

Re: Sound Suppression Question
Anything you add to string or limbs will affect arrow speed and not do anything meaningful for noise reduction. Just the nature of the beast called crossbow, esp recurve. Learn to shoot at relaxed, reasonably close deer.

The old style Blazers w/o the Blazer logo are actually taller than their replacements. had that problem with a Parker I shoot. Went to 3" Fusion, work great.

Re: Who Uses A Ghille Suit?
I use mine as an ultra portable blind. Carry it to the 'stand' site in the pouch it comes in, put it on. Don't notice the heat that way and can move in a hurry to anew site. Same procedure Cossak but it is still a hot early season sit Exspecially with the wheather of the last couple years Obviously...

Re: Who Uses A Ghille Suit?
I use one occasionally, had a young buck within 5 yards... on the ground. Knew it was working when a squirrel jumped onto my lap.

Re: Thinkin bout a Leupold on Phoenix
Hi I just got word that Hawke has a pile of last years XB30 scopes (the ones with the big base HK3248) that have been replaced by the "pro" models this year still sitting around. I basically freaked them out and ordered a huge pile of them. We are going to be clearing these out!!!!! Ready ...

Re: I had four screws loose on my matrix today!
Yes, blue loc tite works great. Don't overdo it in case you want to remove the base some day. Best method is to put on screw threads and let dry before installing.

Re: What's the best serving nowadays?
In my opinion, how serving is applied has more to do with serving separation than what is used. I had all sorts of issues with separation until Boo taught me how to serve a crossbow string: Super tight. Some serving wears better than other, Angel is best, Halo close second. Even BCY will do the job ...
