Isn't removal recommended in the off season? The Excalibur tapes suggest it's a good idea. Not so???

Every year I have to fiddle around trying to restring my crossbow. The string seems to need more twists and then less twists. Anyone have a better way to store the string so that the length should be close to the previous year. The video suggests pinning the two ends with a safety pin but it didn't ...

I assume you mean a steelheaders list??? Try the Grey Bruce Outdoors Board. It has a nice tone and the guys are older and helpful for the most part.
