Canines have claws showing. Felines have retractible claws (except for Cheetahs that I know of) so you don't see the claw print.
Like the pics/diagrams above.
Yep, I'd say it was a cat of some sort.

Re: Sad Trip to the Vet
Possibly look into a second opinion or do some research online. My friend just told me about how his vet said his 12 year old lab was loaded with tumors and only had a few weeks to live. So they treated him to steaks, and burgers, etc. One year later, his dog is still running around chasing balls, e...

Re: Skull Work
That looks really good. Nice job. Ridx sounds interesting. I might try that next time. I've done a bear, coyotes, mink, weasel, opossum, and a few others over the years. I've always boiled my heads, meat and all, and have never had a problem with cracking or deteriorating over time. One mistake I've...

Re: DERMESTID BEETLES
They're flesh eating beetles. I know taxidermists that use them or send skulls out for cleaning, but I'd bet you can't simply own them without a permit/license or something. I clean skulls by boiling, picking, soaking in ammonia, and peroxide solutions, etc. I know the beetles do a much better job a...

Re: Bill when will i get my matrix 380?
What day is 15/1/13? Are you sure it's coming this year? Are you on EST or CST? Is that metric or English? I'm thinking you'll get it in 2015 by the latest.blueflame wrote:I was told by my retailer (I am in Europe) that I would have my bow by today the 15/1/13...

I use Firebolts but opt for the Thunderhead 125 BH. Does the trick for me.

Re: When is it enough too many tags and wounded deer
I've never lost a deer but I've only shot about 15 in my lifetime. So I've never had to deal with this issue. However, I'd like to think the powers that be (DNR) take into count ALL deer fatalities when deciding on the number of tags they allow. They know deer will be eaten by predators, die from di...

Re: What is this?
Here's a little info about it from another forum entry I found online. I always thought it was where the plates fused together after it matured, much like a human skull that has multiple plates as a child to allow for the growth of the brain. It appears it's to allow movement of the skull for protec...

Re: Outdoors/Hunting magazines?
Michigan Outdoor News with a subscription. Sometimes I buy Woods and Water News at the store. In the M.O.N. I like the "cuffs and collars" section that gives me reports of some of the fools around Michigan and how they violated a variety of dnr laws.

Re: Butt-Out 2
I don't know. I've heard they work well but just can't bring myself to buy a product called "butt-out". Maybe I need to watch a you-tube video of it being used or something, to be completely sold on it.
