Re: R U a Good Hunter or need a Fast Bow

Let me get this straight.
Are you saying that to be a good hunter you have to shoot a slow bow and if one shoots a fast bow then he or she is not a good hunter.

If so I guess you are not a good hunter compared to the guys that shoot slower bows than your vixen.

Re: Redemption... I think. ??? First crossbow deer. Got h

Congrats. I don't think there is anything wrong with your bow. Maybe your arrows but not your bow. I get the assumption that you think that if you aim at a deer broadside...lets say for the heart that you will hit the heart. A deer will almost always duck the shot. My aiming point is just above the ...

Check the "need some advise" post and you will see a picture of the black spacers before and after trimming.

Re: Broadhead Problems!!!!Any Ideas?

So what you are saying is at one time you shot 100 grain muzzy MX3's with firebolts and everything was fine. Now all of a sudden your broadhead groups are all over the place? Check to see if the black spacer that goes sandwiched between the limbs and riser are not sticking out and making contact wit...

Re: Learned something tonight

I always aim for the top of the heart. The deer usually duck at the shot and the arrow will hit dead center through the lungs.

Re: First crossbow deer... couldn't find her.

What is your main cross hair set at? Did you put the cross hair on the deer or aim under her thinking the arrow would go high? At 12 feet high, 18 yards away, cross hair set at 20 yards and if you put the cross hair just above the heart, the arrow should have gone through the lungs. I am a firm beli...

Re: New String Brings Questions...

Twist it up a good half inch.
It will drive you crazy twisting a little at a time.
I had a string like that. I kept twisting it 1/4 inch at a time.
It finally stopped after a total of 2 inches of twisting
it was on an Exomax.

Re: erratic bolt flight

Wow, I like to try to fix things myself before contacting any customer service but I don't think you should be shaving down the bottom of your rail.

If you had accuracy issues with your Exomag from day one, then you should have contacted Excalibur.
They would have helped you for sure.

Re: first kill with my new exomax

Congrats to you. It seems if you never got a pass through and the deer dropped right away, you might have hit or nicked the spine just enough for the deer to drop right away. Usually they dont drop like that unless its a spine shot. Happened to me on a deer at 8 yards too. I was up in a tree stand 2...

Re: Does anyone use 2213 shafts for Xbow?

My son does on a Excal Wolverine with plastic rear inserts and aluminum front insert to increase FOC.

He uses 100 grain mag slick tricks.
They are light and dead accurate but I would not shoot them with my exocet 200. I think they might be just a little too light.
