Re: Tagged 1 At The Buzzer

Thanks everyone just goes to show that it can happen anytime and sometimes it can happen fast. It only takes a couple minutes for it to happen from the time you spot them to the time they hit the ground. For what its worth when you have all but given up get back to basics and give it one more try. P...

Re: Tagged 1 At The Buzzer

What a way to end the season !!!! I get depressed if I do not get a harvest of venison for the winter , nothing compares to eating your own deer knowing that you earned it through skill ,patience, scouting, practice, ect. Great buck. Thank you I know exactly what you mean about having venison for the ...

I have put in all my spare time into it this year like every other and I have never seen so few deer in a season. Two out of my three hunting area's have produced almost zip for sightings this ye...

Re: Best arrow wrap colour for hunting?

You can find a small UV flashlight at most pet stores that projects a beam and uses LED bulbs instead of the long tube type UV light for checking currency which does not project a beam. They carry them for detecting pet urine stains in your carpet, mine is made for a company called "Urine Off&q...

Re: PRICE OF CORN!

I'll avoid naming alternative products here for the sake of not making a 'pitch' on a hunting site, but I did copy this information from a site that offers deer feed properly balanced for a deer's digestive system: Rumenitis Inflamation of the rumen often caused by Carbohydrate engorgment. DO NOT F...

Re: PRICE OF CORN!

I picked up one 40kg bag of whole corn and one 40kg bag of dairy ration and it came to $27 and change  prices seem about $2 per bag higher than last year. Not sure how much each bag was as I cannot find my receipt, must have handed both copies to the guy out back that wheels it out to your ve...

Re: primos buck roar

I do not enter the woods without my True Talker by Hunters Specialties, I have retired every other call I own and I own several like most. It has by far the most realistic sound of all of the calls I own and by far best volume control, I have been using the same True Talker for the last 6 or 7 years...

Re: deer hunting stages

In my opinion I wouldn't bother rattling at this stage, the first or primary rut has passed and pecking orders have already been established. At this point I think it would spook more bucks than it would attract. They are tired and beat up for the most part after the primary rut and are not interest...
