Re: Restringing aid slipping.

Thanks all. TBH I didn’t know one needed to tie a knot in the stringing aid after taking the slack out while on the bow. I have been relying on the tension created by the stringing aid being woven into the 3 holes in the end pieces. Where can I order a 4 hole stringing aid? You're not supposed to n...

Re: Are you ready?

Now I'm ready. Got the Wolverine dialed in with field tips. Screwed on a new ToTA standard vented 100gr and sent the first broadhead downrange at a 1/2" dot at 20 yards. I guess they really do shoot like field tips. https://onedrive.live.com/embed?resid=DE60831E6602D779%2180861&authk...

Re: Hunting camera

I agree that the Tactacam cameras are pretty good for what they do. They make some higher cost options with higher resolution and frame rate, but the cheapest version they make is good deal. Below are videos taken with a Tactacam Solo Hunter attached to an Excalibur. https://youtu.be/iDmYHWCSeK0?si...

Re: Hunting camera

Here's 3 deer killed by my brother using Tactacam Solo Xtreme on his Micro 355. Gets pretty good quality for a $150 camera.

Re: Restringing aid slipping.

I thought some might be interested to see the various designs. https://i.postimg.cc/KvnC128H/IMG-8702.jpg I’m betting that something can be done to make the OE stringing aid work better (other than a temporary knot). I don’t own one but I’ll check it out when I get my hands on one. I have a standar...

Re: Restringing aid slipping.

I know they slip a little but maybe the cord is routed incorrectly? Also, a too many guys don't know that you install the ends over the limb tips then take out all the slack between the ends. Both mine and my brother's 3-hole excalibur aid slips pretty much every time under micro limb loads, whethe...

Re: Restringing aid slipping.

I've had this happen before. After you set it for length, just tie an additional knot on each tail so that the tail can't be pulled under the parts that are fed through the holes.

Re: Are you ready?

Lack of rain wrecked our early August planted plots. So we'll plant winter rye in this 1st week of Sept. Just took the 2 hunting bows out last couple weeks. They've been shooting great too. Decided to tighten up my riser to rail joint fit too. Not that I had accuracy issues beforehand. Just nice to...

Re: Burris Oracle scope

Guys that have 'em love 'em. Had a guy near me put one on his Twinstrike, was too tall for the factory cheek rest to get solid alignment, so I had a 3D printed one made for him. First go-round with it was nearly perfect, will be working on final version soon. Will be sure to put some pictures of fin...

Re: New favorite bow

Over the years I have owned 15 different crossbows; ten of them Excaliburs, three long limbers, three Matrix models and four Micros. I just picked up an Excal GRZ2 and wanted to compare it to my MagAir and Mag340. I was surprised when I realized that I actually preferred the Matrix sized GRZ2 to my...

Re: Excaliburs survey

Was the survey sent in an email? Or just a link you can share? Just curious to see it. From what I've gathered they already do a fair amount of warranty work out of their Port Huron location. But would be a bummer for you Canadians if they moved production out of Kitchener. Hopefully they are just g...

Re: Ten Years?

Feb of 2019 for me, so 4.5 years. I remember prior to joining I was still putting protective caps on my string bumpers on my Vortex. Had always kept my brace height in between the lines since I got the bow in 2008, but on that one being in between the lines meant digging into the bumpers at rest (I ...

Re: Custom “Excaliburky 415”

Scrolling through the posts today and I was like hey, I have one of those too! 😂🤣 WS - sadly I didn’t manage to get in the field with any bow last season. My Aculeus 460 is first in line when I do hunt, and my Excalibur is pretty much just for backup. I shoot it every fall and it’s held zero every ...
