Re: micro 335 bolts
Great choice on a GREAT crossbow. You are going to LOVE that micro! I'm no expert (far from it), and yes, the stock arrows and everything that comes standard with your micro are great and will hunt and kill anything you choose with great accuracy. However this is my take on why a lot of us choose to...

..... Is that dissertation dazzling with brilliance or baffling with bull sheet?....   Anthony :) Haha! Perhaps a poetic blend of both! I'm just thrilled I actually got a response. I tried contacting the makers of Rage broadheads with a question a couple of years ago, and they could...

Re: Spitfire XXX in hand. Testing today.
I contacted NAP support and inquired about the heads weighing more than 100 grains. Got one heck of a response. Thought I would share. Here is the response I received from Chris Hunter at New Archery Products: "John, I appreciate your concern, and as one of the younger guys here...I often think...

Re: Spitfire XXX in hand. Testing today.
After sighting in my micro to 100 grain field tips (was setup for 125g), I decided to sacrifice one of the new Spitfire XXX heads. Backed up to 30 yards. Aimed... and wouldn't you know it... Hit almost exactly where my field tip did. Maybe a 1/2" low, but that could have been me. Needless to sa...

Re: Spitfire XXX in hand. Testing today.
Take the distance between the ferule and the tip of the blade, multiply by 3 and you get your cutting area which in this case will be huge. I'm betting when they call it a 2" cut, they are measuring like everyone else does and that is a circle that the blades fit into. Distance between the fer...

Spitfire XXX in hand. Testing today.
Just got a pack of the new Spitfire XXX crossbow 100g heads. Weather permitting I'm going to sacrifice one and see how she flies. Not quite 2 inches by my ruler, but still looks to make some massive wound channels. http://i839.photobucket.com/albums/zz319/chefrific/20150807_091522_zpszlxbogri.jpg ht...

With the shock collars, you might be okay. Only way to know for sure is to sacrifice a couple and shoot them. Let us know!
Noticed you are in Warner Robins. I'm in Hawkinsville. Good to see some "locals" on this forum!

Re: For you spitfire guys!
Just ordered a set of the "crossbow" model from Cabelas. I'm going to sacrifice one to see how it flies compared to a field point. If it stays true to the other spitfires, it should be devastating. I've had good results and field point accuracy with spitfires. I've never seen a difference ...

Re: finding a critter in your blind
Oh I've had a few uninvited guests while hunting out of my blind. Two years ago I had a fox pup try to get in with me. Wild encounter that was. A year ago while my wife and I were turkey hunting, we had a copperhead enter the blind with us. I was wearing snake boots and all it took was some vigorous...

Re: quiver set up
I have the Munch mount (top mount) for my vortex as well as the rangefinder mounted to my scope. It works. It's convenient to have your rangefinder always up and ready. However, my safety harness has a little attachment point that I plan on tying my rangefinder to with a little string when hunting w...

Re: Flemish for Micro 335
I bet you bought the Excalibur brand flemish for the older style bows with the big limbs. Danny Miller can set you up with a flemish for your micro.
