Good reading and very descriptive. That's why they call it hunting and not getting. Did sound like you saw plenty of wildlife, which its what its all about. And about the guides you mentioned, Don't know that I would refer to them as GUIDES! More like parking attendants! But glad you enjoyed your hu...

How far are you really planning on shooting at a deer. Look at what speeds most bows are shooting at, your not that much slower. I thing wabi posted a reply an speeds a while back and not having that much concern with speed. Know your limitations with what you use and work with it. Unless your reall...

To reply to grey owl, I call myself groundpounder because I love to walk when I hunt. I have walked miles with this thing slung over my shoulder and have never had one slip out of the quiver, but I guess that would also depend on bolt diameter. Thats no sales pitch. This whole thing has had more res...

Looking at uprights to be thinner. First one was made with what material I could find. It was 1'' hex stock turned down in the middle to lighten up. New ones will be 3/4'' round stock. Flat plate is also 1/4'' plate and am not sure if I want to go thinner with it or not(maybe3/16''). I tend to over ...

Thanks for the responses. It appears from the posts there may be a market for it after all. Am looking at costs now on trying to produce. Prices of alluminum(OUCH!). Looks like I can make between 25-30 assemblies with purchasing least amount of material possible to start out. Cost of waterjet cuttin...

I wondered if it would come to making more. I have a machinist background and have made production parts before. Just never something of my own to try and market. As far as cost, I started this as a fun thing to do, not to really profit from it. But if people are interested in one I could make a few...

I've seen the postings on the Dan Miller mount and liked it for carrying the xbow with the sling and not banging the quiver in your back like the factory mount would do. I just did not like that it blocked that much of your field of view. Played with the quiver a bit and came up with that position. ...

New style quiver mount
I've been reading the forum for a while now and getting lots of great information. Liked all of the posts about the over the bow quiver mount but thought it blocked too much field of view. Being a tinkerer I think I've come up with a new design I haven't seen before. Tell me what you think. I've bee...

Most people I know would not ever ask for part of your game or may even be to proud to ask for help with a project. With that being said, still offer. What will make a big impression of a land owner if permission is given is picking up any trash that you ever find on the property. When you treat som...
