Lucky guy, I haven't seen deer way out of range (200 yards), with over 24 hours logged in my stand this season. I may have over hunted, or used bad calls, sure....but it is my first season hunting, and I have loved every minute I have been in the bush, that my joy. A deer would be great too, but if ...

Take a moment to calm down if a problem occur before you hit the new topic button so quickly next time. Deer Jamie, there is also the EDIT button on all your previous posts. I have used mine on more than one occasion. Nothing you say has to be forever, and you can always reword things typed in the ...

Isn't there a gripper type attachment you can put on behind the broadhead so it doesn't just fly through the bird?

At my local shop, the owner says that guys have claimed to use them with excallibur bows. This info is second hand. I would like to know if the Gobbler Guillotines work with my Phoenix too. Has anyone on used one themselves?

I agree, lend your dad your bow and save up to get him an excalibur next year. Good things are worth the wait. I don't know what I was thinking referring you to that other company, maybe I was only thinking of price and not quality. That was the very frugal (a polite way to say cheap) side of me in ...

These guys make a real inexpensive xbow and I think I saw mention of free shipping. The xbows are manufactured by the same company that makes some of PSE bows, according to the FAQ section. I looked at them before I got my Phoenix. The price is certainly good, especially just for an introduction to ...

I used the rain today as good sound cover to allow me finally make a good trip around the entire area where I am hunting. It took most of the day, during the breaks in the rain, I sat against trees and ate a bit of food. Saw a couple of new rubs approx 300m as the crow flies from my stand site. So I...

I walk really slowly to my stand, and wear everything I plan to wear for the day. I like taking my time on the way in, I see and listen to all the small game in the woods. With regards to sweat, I am kinda lucky in that I find anything below 21ºC to be cold, so I usually don't even sweat a in the de...

Daydream about how the deer is going to appear in front of my and finally getting to use my xbow in a hunting situation. Watch the chipmunks, woodpeckers, bluejays, grouse, and now rabbits. And think geeze I should have picked up some of those grabber attachments for using on small game with a field...
