Only hunt moose with a rifle at this time, has been talk about having a archery season in my WMU but so far it has only been talk.. I hunt bear (as well as deer) with my vortex.

It doesn't look like the arrow penetrated very deep. Is that normal on a bear shot?
It was a quartering away shot, the arrow penatrated the lung and hit the shoulder on the opposite side

First bear hunt, first day, first bear harvest and first vortex harvest. Here's my story. Arrive at tree stand 1145hr Sept 17. Set up Spy Point IR-5 to video, light one of my wife's hot apple pie scented candles. All settled in and ready to go at 1200hr. After a few short catnaps and watching/listen...
