Topic: How many use a sling?

I use a sling on my crossbow, but only to carry it. Even for 3D I don't use it for shooting. Even though a sling can help in stabilizing and holding, I suppose it's what one gets use to. For me, I find that I can shoot just as well if not better without using the sling.

It's bad, and an accident waiting to happen. If the nock/insert doesn't seat firmly against the string, sooner rather than later the string will travel over the bolt causing a virtual "dryfire". It's best to bite the bullet and waste $25 , and not risk damaging your bow.

You know what they say about "Rainy days and Mondays". It seems that if it wasn't for bad luck, you wouldn't have any. :( Hope you get better soon, and it's like Grey Owl says, that you'll be getting the "Big Buck(s)", both figuritively and illiterately.

Is that work done by needle point?? 8)
Needle point  Heck no, I wish I was that talented. It's just printed fabric that I've sewn and made into a pillow case. I then bought a suitable size pillow which fits inside.

I was speaking with a Ten Point owner a couple of weeks ago, and he mentioned that when he first got his bow that he had trouble with the serving too. Like you say, it was due to too much downward pressure on the riser. He fixed the problem after speaking with someone at Ten Point. Apparently the st...

I've heard good things about Archers Nook, as l have about BJ of "Archery Plus". Both provide good service and prices. You can't go wrong with either shop.

Lou, (BigBear), you hosted a fine shoot. Not only did you go all out for the 3D Shoot, by providing those extra trophies for the forum boys, but you topped it off by inviting us to your place for a fine BBQ. Thanks once again, Lou. When I get a chance I'll post some pics, although I doubt they'll be...

Same here, no problems. I originally sighted in without my "reading glasses", then just recently I started using these glasses, which are progressive, and have a slight prescription for distance without any problems. In fact I was using them last week at the Wolf's Den 3D Shoot where I pla...
